COPPER CHA ZEOLITE CATALYSTS
Zeolite catalysts and systems and methods for preparing and using zeolite catalysts having the CHA crystal structure are disclosed. The catalysts can be used to remove nitrogen oxides from a gaseous medium across a broad temperature range and exhibit hydrothermal stable at high reaction temperatures. The zeolite catalysts include a zeolite carrier having a silica to alumina ratio from about 15:1 to about 256:1 and a copper to alumina ratio from about 0.25:1 to about 1:1.
Honeycomb structure body and method of designing the same
A honeycomb structure body has an inner side base section and an outer side base section having a cylindrical shape. Inner side cells are formed in the inner side base section at a constant cell density. Outer side cells are formed in the outer side base section. A cell density of the outer side cells varies a radius direction. The outer side cells are formed on the basis of a relational equation of y=a(xb).sup.n+c, where x is a distance on the outer side base section measured from a central point on a radial cross section, y indicates the number of the outer side cells per one cm.sup.2 at the distance x, a is a negative constant, b is a radius of the inner periphery of the outer side base section, c is the number of the inner side cells per one cm.sup.2, and n is a degree.
Fiber blank woven as a single piece by three-dimensional weaving to make a closed box-structure platform out of composite material for a turbine engine fan
A fiber blank woven as a single piece by three-dimensional weaving to make a closed box-structure platform out of composite material for a turbine engine fan. In each plane of the fiber blank, a set of warp yarns interlinks layers of weft yarns in first, second, and third portions of the fiber blank, while leaving a closed non-interlinked zone separating the first and second portions over a fraction of the dimension of the fiber blank in the warp direction between an upstream non-interlinking limit and a downstream non-interlinking limit, and while leaving at least one open non-interlinked zone separating the second and third portions over a fraction of the dimension of the fiber blank in the warp direction from a non-interlinking limit to a downstream edge of the fiber blank. A method of fabricating a preform for the closed box-structure platform can use such a fiber blank.
Additive manufacturing of buildings and other structures
Freeform, additive manufacturing equipment, processes and products, including residential, commercial and other buildings. A movable extruder places extrudate that solidifies in open space to create scaffolding or skeletons of buildings and other products. Elongated extrudate elements are fused to each other or connected by other means to form a cellular structure. Filler material such as polymeric insulating foam may simultaneously or thereafter be placed within the cellular structure to contribute desired strength, rigidity, insulative, barrier or other properties. Finish materials may also be applied.
Plugged honeycomb structure
A plugged honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb structure body, and a plurality of plugging portions, the honeycomb structure body further includes pass-through hole portions each of which is formed in at least a part of a partition wall intersection portion in which the partition walls intersect in one end face and each of which interconnects a pair of cells facing each other at a position corresponding to the partition wall intersection portion to enable pass-through of a fluid, and a value obtained by dividing a diameter of a first virtual inscribed circle inscribed at a position of a minimum hole width of the pass-through hole portion by a diameter of a second virtual inscribed circle inscribed at a position of a minimum plugging width between the plugging portions facing each other is in a range of 0.05 to 0.74.
Panel and method for producing a panel
A panel for cladding a ceiling or wall in a cabin, especially the cabin of a passenger aircraft, in which a board is laminated on both sides with a cover layer which is made of fibrous material or fabric, which is impregnated with resin or a thermoplastic material, and is cured under the effects of pressure and temperature, said board having at least one core with a honeycomb structure formed by a large number of walls, said walls being compressed or bent in a pre-defined region of the board by between 5% and 50%.

Insulating film
An energy efficient film comprising of first and second substrate layers and microstructures positioned between the first and second substrates is provided. The microstructures are positioned between the first and second structures such that a vacuum environment is created between the first and second substrates. In one embodiment, the insulating film includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a plurality of microstructures positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate, such that a vacuum environment is created between the first and second substrates and within each microstructure cell, individually. Preferably, the plurality of microstructures is a polygonal cellular network positioned between a first transparent substrate and a second transparent substrate. A gasket may be provided on one or both of the first or second substrates. The gasket may also be provided on outer edges of the first and/or the second substrate.
Flexible acoustic honeycomb
Acoustic structures in which acoustic septa are located in the cells of a honeycomb for reducing the noise generated from a source. The honeycomb used to form the acoustic structure has walls that contain convex and concave contours which make the honeycomb flexible. The acoustic septa are formed by inserting planar acoustic inserts into the honeycomb cells to form a septum cap which is friction-locked within the cell and then permanently bonded in place. The planar acoustic septum is configured to match the unique shape of the cell contours to provide desired friction-locking when inserted into the cells and desired acoustic properties after being permanently bonded in place.
Honeycomb structure comprising a cement skin composition with crystalline inorganic fibrous material
Disclosed is a honeycomb support structure comprising a honeycomb body and an outer layer or skin formed of a cement that includes an inorganic filler material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion from 25 C to 600 C and a crystalline inorganic fibrous material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion from 25 C to 600 C. Skin cement composition controls level of cement liquid/colloid components, for example water, colloidal silica, and methylcellulose migration into the substrate during the skin application process to form barrier to skin wetting and staining during the washcoating process.
