The present invention relates to an adhesive compositions, facestocks and/or packaging labels containing same, where such compositions, facestocks and/or labels are designed to facilitate the recyclability of a plastic article formed from any suitable polymer or mixture of polymers (e.g., a polyethylene terephthalate (PET), high density polyethylene (HDPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), low density polyethylene (LDPE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), or others of all plastic types), or even glass bottles. In another embodiment, the present invention relates to a method for removing an adhesive composition, facestock and/or packaging label containing same, from a plastic article that is to be recycled.
Non-transparent art paper which prevents seepage
A non-transparent paper is described for non-transparent art or graphic design sketches, which prevents seepage of the inks, it accepts any type of gel, water-based, solvent-based, oil-based or mixed inks and solid materials for sketching and drawing, as well as fixatives for the solid materials. This paper consists of a lamination of at least two sheets of uncoated bond paper, inserting at least one intermediate layer of pigmented opacifying emulsion between both sheets, applied between the layers of paper to prevent transparency and the seepage of inks from one face of the lamination to the other. This layer of emulsion contains at least one opacifying pigment, at least one adhesive, agents to control viscosity and surface tension and other components. The outside layers of paper have a drying capacity which fixes the materials used for the sketching and prevent outlines made on one face passing to the adjacent sheets of paper, and also has a texture suitable for receiving any dry material for drawing or sketching.

Water-based coating composition, method for forming multi-layer coating film, and article having multi-layer coating film
A water-based coating composition and method for forming a multi-layer coating film by which it is possible to form a coating film 5 having excellent smoothness, image clarity, and chipping resistance in a 3C1B format. The composition is characterized by containing 7 to 60 mass % of an acrylic resin emulsion (a), 10 to 60 mass % of a film-forming resin (b), and 10 10 to 50 mass % of a curing agent (c), on the basis of the total mass of the solid resin content in the composition; the acrylic resin emulsion (a) having a core/shell structure where the core section contains, as a copolymer component, 0.1 to 10 mass % of a polymerizable unsaturated 15 monomer having two or more polymerizable unsaturated groups in one molecule, on the basis of the total mass of monomer of the core section, and the hydroxyl value of the core section is 50 to 200 mgKOH/g, and the hydroxyl value of the shell section is 50 to 200 mgKOH/g.
Solid insulation material
The present disclosure relates to insulation. Teachings thereof may be embodied in a solid insulation material, especially in tape form, the use thereof in a vacuum impregnation process and to an insulation system produced therewith, and also an electrical machine comprising the insulation system, especially for the medium- and high-voltage sector, namely for medium- and high-voltage machines, especially rotating electrical machines in the medium- and high-voltage sector, and to semifinished products for electrical switchgear. For example a solid insulation material with an anhydride-free impregnating agent may include: a carrier; a barrier material; a curing catalyst; and a tape adhesive. The curing catalyst and the tape adhesive are inert toward one another but react under the conditions of a vacuum impregnation process if combined with an anhydride-free impregnating agent having gelation times of 1 h to 15 h at impregnation temperature. The tape adhesive is free of oxirane groups and includes at least two free hydroxyl groups.
Ultra-bright passivated aluminum nano-flake pigments
Nano-thick flakes that are either flat, and specularly-reflective in visible light or that have microroughness intentionally controlled to disperse or interfere with visible light. Coatings and inks utilizing such flakes. Method for fabrication of such flakes in partial vacuum includes the repeated multiple times deposition of a release layer over a substrate surface and a flake layer over the release layer to form a multilayer structure further reduced to individual flakes. Reactive metal is passivated inline with the deposition of the flake layer for superior corrosion resistance. Chemically-functional materials are optionally added to the release material to transfer their functionality to the surface of flake layer to create unique functional properties on a flake surface before the multilayer structure is removed from the substrate.

Multi-layered structure and articles formed therefrom having improved splash resistance by increased interlayer spacing
A splash resistant multi-layered structure is provided. The structure includes a specific arrangement of layers of material and a plurality of three-dimensional spacers that helps prevent penetration through the structure by a fluid that contacts an outer surface of the structure due to a state of forced separation that exists between two adjacent layers of the structure due to the presence of the plurality of three-dimensional spacers positioned between the layers. The plurality of three-dimensional spacers can be positioned on one of the adjacent layers of the structure such that a distance at least as large as the maximum height of the plurality of three-dimensional spacers separates the two layers from each other and can be present on a layer of material in a continuous or discontinuous pattern or can be present on a layer of material in a random fashion. The presence of the three-dimensional spacers can reduce the basis weight or eliminate one or more layers of the structure, which, in turn, can reduce thermal resistance, lower the pressure drop across the layers of the structure, and reduce the overall weight of the structure to enhance breathability and comfort.
