FLEXIBLE PROTECTIVE COVER AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A flexible protective cover for attaching to a display panel, the flexible protective cover includes at least two hard coating layers and a transparent layer disposed between two adjacent hard coating layers. Since a modulus of the hard coating layers is greater than a modulus of the transparent layer, a hardness of the flexible protective cover can be significantly increased. It has been verified by simulation calculation that the flexible protective cover of the present disclosure has a hardness increase of 8% while maintaining same flexibility and bending resistance, as compared with the conventional flexible cover.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Disclosed herein are engineered composite materials suitable for applications that can benefit from a composite material capable of interacting with or responding to, in a controlled or pre-determined manner, changes in its surrounding environment. The composite material is generally includes a gradient layer structure of a sequence of at, e.g., three or more gradient-contributing layers of microscale particles, wherein a mean particle size of particles of neighboring gradient-contributing layers in the cross section of the gradient layer structure varies from layer to layer, thereby forming a particle size gradient, and in contact with the gradient layer structure, a densely packed particle structure including densely packed microscale particles, wherein a mean particle size of the densely packed microscale particles does not form a particle size gradient in the cross section of the densely packed particle structure.
Sulfonate-functional coatings and methods
A coating composition is disclosed comprising: (i) a non-zwitterionic compound comprising sulfonate-functional groups and (a) alkoxysilane groups and/or (b) silanol-functional groups; (ii) alcohol and/or water; and (iii) a tetraalkoxysilane, oligomers thereof, lithium silicate, sodium silicate, potassium silicate, silica, or combinations thereof.
Gas barrier film with protective coating layer containing inorganic particles
A gas barrier film with a protective layer including inorganic particles is provided. A gas barrier effect of the gas barrier film is improved by including inorganic nanoparticles in a protective layer when a protective coating is performed to protect a gas barrier layer.
Non-transparent art paper which prevents seepage
A non-transparent paper is described for non-transparent art or graphic design sketches, which prevents seepage of the inks, it accepts any type of gel, water-based, solvent-based, oil-based or mixed inks and solid materials for sketching and drawing, as well as fixatives for the solid materials. This paper consists of a lamination of at least two sheets of uncoated bond paper, inserting at least one intermediate layer of pigmented opacifying emulsion between both sheets, applied between the layers of paper to prevent transparency and the seepage of inks from one face of the lamination to the other. This layer of emulsion contains at least one opacifying pigment, at least one adhesive, agents to control viscosity and surface tension and other components. The outside layers of paper have a drying capacity which fixes the materials used for the sketching and prevent outlines made on one face passing to the adjacent sheets of paper, and also has a texture suitable for receiving any dry material for drawing or sketching.
Repulpable and recyclable composite packaging articles and related methods
A reusable, fiber containing pulp product is described that is highly suited for use in the manufacture of paper products. The reusable, fiber containing pulp product provides a mixture of fibers and small, dense polymer/particle fragments. The polymer/particle fragments within the reusable, fiber containing pulp product have a size range and density that facilitates efficient removal of the polymer/particle fragments using pressure screens.
Adhesive film, multilayer printed wiring board using adhesive film, and method for manufacturing multilayer printed wiring board
An adhesive film according to the present invention includes a resin composition layer (layer A) for an interlayer insulating layer, a thermosetting resin composition layer (layer B), and a support film (layer C), and the layer C, the layer A, and the layer B are sequentially arranged in this order. The layer A is a resin composition which contains a thermosetting resin (a1) and an inorganic filler (b1) having a specific surface area of 20 m.sup.2/g or more, and the mass ratio of the thermosetting resin (a1) to the inorganic filler (b1) is within the range from 30:1 to 2:1. The layer B contains a thermosetting resin composition which is in a solid state at a temperature lower than 40 C. but melts at a temperature of 40 C. or higher but lower than 140 C. Consequently, the adhesive film according to the present invention can solve problems in a laser process and a desmear removal process following the laser process and can form a conductor layer which has a high adhesion strength even on an interlayer insulating layer having a smooth surface-roughened state.
ANTI-GLARE FILM
An anti-glare film is attached on a surface of a display, and includes an anti-glare layer. The anti-glare layer is set to have a sparkle value of 10 or less, which is defined based on a value of a standard deviation of luminance distribution of the display under a state in which the anti-glare film is attached on the surface of the display, a value of specular gloss of 40% or less, which is measured with 60-degree specular gloss, and a value of transmission image clarity of 40% or less, which has an optical comb of 0.5 mm. Consequently, satisfactory anti-glare property can be provided while appropriately suppressing sparkle on the display.

Provided is a composition for forming a hard coating layer, which includes an epoxy siloxane resin, a crosslinking agent including a compound having an alicyclic epoxy group, a thermal initiator including a compound represented by a specific chemical formula, a photoinitiator, a fluorine-substituted (meth)acrylate compound, and silica nanoparticles surface-modified with a fluorine compound, and forms a hard coating layer having excellent hardness and antifouling property and suppressing curling.
Polyester film and manufacturing method thereof
The present invention relates to a transfer polyester film. More particularly, the present invention relates to a transfer polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the transfer polyester film has a coating layer with an excellent releasing property so that at the time of forming a hard coating layer in order to impart a surface gloss to an interior product, the transfer polyester film may be attached to a surface of the hard coating layer so as to allow the surface of the hard coating layer to be smoothly formed in a step of coating and curing a hard coating solution and may be removed after completely curing the hard coating layer.
