COATED, ANTIMICROBIAL, CHEMICALLY STRENGTHENED GLASS AND METHOD OF MAKING
The disclosure is directed to a chemically strengthened glass having antimicrobial properties and to a method of making such glass. In particular, the disclosure is directed to a chemically strengthened glass with antimicrobial properties and with a low surface energy coating on the glass that does not interfere with the antimicrobial properties of the glass. The antimicrobial has an Ag ion concentration on the surface in the range of greater than zero to 0.047 g/cm.sup.2. The glass has particular applications as antimicrobial shelving, table tops and other applications in hospitals, laboratories and other institutions handling biological substances, where color in the glass is not a consideration.
PLATED STEEL
A plated steel includes: a steel; a zinc based electroplated layer formed on a surface of the steel; and an organic resin coating layer formed on a surface of the zinc based electroplated layer, in which the surface of the zinc based electroplated layer has hairline extending in a predetermined direction, Ra (ML) measured on the surface of the zinc based electroplated layer is 0.10 to 0.70 m, on the surface of the zinc based electroplated layer, a peak number PPI measured in a hairline orthogonal direction with a reference level of 10 inch satisfies PPI350Ra (MC) with respect to Ra (MC), on a surface of the organic resin coating layer, Ra (CC) satisfies Ra (CC)/Ra (CL)1.10 with respect to Ra (CL), and Ra (CC) satisfies Ra (CC)<Ra (MC) with respect to Ra (MC).
Floor carpet for vehicles and method for producing same
The vehicle floor carpet of the present invention includes a skin layer, a thermoplastic resin layer, and a base layer in this order, the thermoplastic resin layer has a plurality of open hole parts penetrating through the thermoplastic resin layer in the thickness direction, and the open hole parts are arranged on recesses in a surface of the skin layer or recesses in a surface of the base layer at the side of the thermoplastic resin layer.
Building boards with increased surface strength
Disclosed is a building board construction with increased surface strength. More specifically, increased nail pull strength is achieved via the application of an external surface coating. The surface coating is ideally applied to a paper faced gypsum building board. In one possible embodiment, the coating is formed from a water soluble polymer.
