The present invention relates to a flexible plastic film, and more specifically to a flexible plastic film having excellent flexibility while exhibiting high hardness. According to the present invention, the flexible plastic film exhibits flexibility, bending property, high hardness, scratch resistance and high transparency, and hardly has a risk of damaging the film even in a state of being warped for a long period of time, and thereby can he usefully applied to flexible mobile devices, display devices, front face and display unit of various instrument panels, and the like.

Provided is a sliding material including a substrate; and a copper alloy layer bonded to the substrate. The copper alloy includes 2.0 to 15.0% by mass of tin. The copper alloy layer includes a sliding body part including a sliding surface, and a gradient region including a bond surface with the substrate. A tin concentration in the gradient region reduces from the sliding body part toward the bond surface. A method for producing the siding material is also provided. The method includes preparing the substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; melting the copper alloy; casting the molten copper alloy on the first surface of the substrate; and solidifying the copper alloy unidirectionally by cooling the substrate from the second surface by a coolant.

A releasably adhesive laminate (1) comprises a structural layer (2) carrying on at least part of one side thereof a hydrophobic gel (4) and on at least part of the other side thereof a pressure-sensitive adhesive (3). The structural layer (2) is preferably a film of synthetic plastics material, eg polyurethane. The pressure-sensitive adhesive (3) is preferably an acrylic adhesive, and the hydrophobic gel (4) is preferably a silicone gel. The laminate (1) may be used as a skin contact component of a wound dressing or in numerous other applications.

The method comprises: applying a melting depressant composition (14) on a surface (15) of the first metal part (11), the melting depressant composition (14) comprising a melting depressant component that comprises at least 25 wt % boron and silicon for decreasing a melting temperature of the first metal part (11); bringing (202) the second metal part (12) into contact with the melting depressant composition (14) at a contact point (16) on said surface (15); heating the first and second metal parts (11,12) to a temperature above 1100 QC; and allowing a melted metal layer (210) of the first metal component (11) to solidify, such that a joint (25) is obtained at the contact point (16). The present invention relates to a curtain coatable gas barrier coating composition comprising polyvinyl alcohol and a surfactant, in which the surfactant is a water-soluble non-ionic ethoxylated alcohol. The present invention also relates to a method for providing a substrate with a gas barrier layer by means of the coating composition, and a coated substrate having at least one gas barrier layer obtained by coating the substrate with the coating composition. Further, the invention relates to a packaging material comprising a coated paperboard coated with the coating composition, and a liquid package comprising such a packaging material.

Laminate comprising polyolefin elastic film layer

Disclosed is a laminate comprising at least one polyolefin elastic film layer and at least one substrate layer; the polyolefin elastic film having the following properties: (1) an average integrated enthalpy sum of no greater than 17 J/g, preferably between about 5-17 J/g, according to the Thermal Analysis Method defined herein; (2) an average integrated enthalpy ratio of from 0.6 to 300, preferably 0.8 to 300, still preferably 1.0 to 300, according to the Thermal Analysis Method defined herein; and (3) an unload stress at 75% strain of above 0.8 MPa according to the Hysteresis Test defined herein; and wherein the laminate has a normalized load force/normalized unload force ratio at 75% strain of 1 to 2.6 according to the Hysteresis Test defined herein.

The present invention relates to a method for providing a braze alloy layered product comprising the following steps: applying at least one silicon source and at least one boron source on at least a part of a surface of a substrate, wherein the at least one boron source and the at least one silicon source are oxygen free except for inevitable amounts of contaminating oxygen, and wherein the substrate comprises a parent material having a solidus temperature above 1100 C.; heating the substrate having the applied boron source and the applied silicon source to a temperature lower than the solidus temperature of the parent material of the substrate; and cooling the substrate having the applied boron source and the applied silicon source, and obtaining the braze alloy layered product. A hot-pressing steel sheet has excellent oxidation resistance to be capable of suppressing the formation of scales and ZnO during hot pressing as well as is excellent in cold pressing properties. A process of manufacturing a hot pressed member uses the steel sheet. The hot-pressing steel sheet includes a coating layer containing 10 to 25 mass % of Ni and a balance of Zn and inevitable impurities and having a mass per unit area of 10 to 90 g/m.sup.2, and a lubricating layer containing a solid lubricant, in the order named on the surface of a steel sheet.
