THERMALLY BONDABLE ADHESIVE TAPE BACKING
20220112404 · 2022-04-14 ·

The disclosed thermally bondable adhesive tape backing has a pressure-sensitive adhesive at a surface and a thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive at an opposite surface for thermal bonding to a device. The thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive softens and melts at a relatively low temperature. Therefore, melting of thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive is achieved while the pressure-sensitive adhesive remains in place and is not pressed away at the region of the thermal bonding.

Mask-integrated surface protective tape with release liner

A mask-integrated surface protective tape with a release liner, containing: a base film, a temporary-adhesive layer, a release film, a mask material layer, and a release liner, in this order, wherein the release film and the release liner each have one release-treated surface, and the release-treated surfaces of the release film and the release liner each are in contact with the mask material layer, and wherein the peeling strength between the release liner and the mask material layer is smaller than the peeling strength between the release film and the mask material layer.

MULTI-LAYER ADHESIVES AND ARTICLES

Adhesive articles with multi-layer adhesive constructions include a substrate and a multi-layered adhesive. The multi-layered adhesive includes a layer of a first adhesive in contact with the surface of the substrate, and a layer of siloxane-based pressure sensitive adhesive in contact with the first adhesive. The siloxane-based pressure sensitive adhesive includes a siloxane-(meth)acrylate co-polymer. The thickness of the siloxane-based pressure sensitive adhesive layer is less than the thickness of the first adhesive layer.

Transparent adhesive optical sheet, laminate and bonded structure

The present invention provides an optically clear adhesive sheet that has excellent flexibility and prevents delay bubbles in high temperature and high humidity environments. The optically clear adhesive sheet of the present invention sequentially includes a first surface-adhesive layer, an intermediate adhesive layer, and a second surface-adhesive layer. The first surface-adhesive layer and the second surface-adhesive layer each have a higher storage elastic modulus at 85° C. than the intermediate adhesive layer. The first surface-adhesive layer and the second surface-adhesive layer each have a storage elastic modulus at 85° C. of 3.0×10.sup.4 Pa or higher and 30.0×10.sup.4 Pa or lower. The intermediate adhesive layer has a storage elastic modulus at 85° C. of 1.0×10.sup.4 Pa or higher and 15.0×10.sup.4 Pa or lower. The intermediate adhesive layer contains polyurethane.

ADHESIVE TAPE PARTICULARLY FOR OILY SURFACES

The invention relates to an adhesive tape, comprising at least one layer of a first, heat-curable adhesive material and, on one of the surfaces of the heat-curable adhesive material layer, a layer of a second, pressure-sensitive adhesive material, characterized in that the second, pressure-sensitive adhesive material is based on one or more unvulcanized rubbers having a saturated carbon chain of the polymethylene type.

Glass fastening and sealing systems

A glass sealing system includes a glass portion and a first adhesive layer disposed along an exterior surface of the glass portion. The glass sealing system also includes a cover with a first surface secured to the first adhesive layer and a second surface opposing the first surface. The glass sealing system includes a second adhesive layer disposed on the second surface and configured to secure the cover to a support structure. The cover obscures the second adhesive layer from view of a user looking through the glass portion toward the support structure.

PRESSURE-SENSITIVE LABEL

A pressure sensitive label and method for preparing same, the pressure sensitive label comprising: (a) a support portion, said support portion including at least a carrier layer; and (b) a transfer portion over said support portion for transfer of the transfer portion from the support portion to an article upon application of pressure to the transfer portion while the transfer portion is in contact with the article, said transfer portion including at least (1) a first printable layer in confronting relationship with the carrier layer, (2) an ink layer, and (3) a second printable layer, wherein the ink layer is disposed between the first printable layer and the second printable layer.

Hot-melt adhesive resin film and production method thereof

The present invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive resin film having an excellent adhesive force and durability to various adherends such as metal, glass, and plastic, and a production method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a hot-melt adhesive resin film including a first surface layer, a first intermediate layer, a substrate layer having heat resistance, a second intermediate layer, and a second surface layer, which are laminated in this order, in which the first intermediate layer and the second intermediate layer include a resin which is obtained by modifying a copolymer of propylene and 1-butene with maleic acid, and a production method thereof.

Marking tape, method of applying and method of manufacturing the marking tape

A marking tape for application on pavement which comprises a core layer and an adhesive layer outside the core layer. The core layer is formed of a combination of a conforming layer of a thermoplastic material, a marking layer of a cross-linked material, and a fibrous layer. The conforming layer and the marking layer are contiguous and/or directly interconnected with each other.
