Multilayer Polymer Film
In a first aspect, a multilayer polymer film includes a first transparent, colorless polymer layer comprising a polyimide, a polyamide imide, or a block copolymer of a polyimide and a second transparent, colorless polymer layer comprising a polyimide, a polyamide imide, or a block copolymer of a polyimide. An elastic modulus of the first transparent, colorless polymer layer is different than an elastic modulus of the second transparent, colorless polymer layer. The first and second transparent, colorless polymer layers are bonded by consolidation. In a second aspect, a cover window for a display includes the multilayer polymer film of the first aspect. The first transparent, colorless layer of the multilayer polymer film is the layer farthest from the display.
Surface treatment for tape adhesion and ultraviolet stability
A surface-treated polymer film is disclosed. The film has a polymer substrate having a first surface and an opposing second surface and a primer applied to the first surface of the substrate. The primer is a cross-linked acrylic polymer or other suitable polymer. A method of insulating a surface with an insulation material constructed from the surface-treated polymer is also disclosed.
Electrical tracking resistance compositions, articles formed therefrom, and methods of manufacture thereof
A composition comprises, based on the total weight of the composition, 50 wt % to 90 wt % of a polyetherimide; and 10 wt % to 50 wt % of a filler comprising talc, titanium dioxide, zirconium oxide, neutral aluminum oxide, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing; wherein the composition has a number of drops to tracking at 250 volts of greater than or equal to 50 drops determined according to ASTM D-3638-85.
Solvent-containing dry film and method for applying the same on a substrate
The present disclosure relates to a solvent-containing dry film and a method for applying a dry film on a substrate. The dry film includes a carrier and a resin layer. The resin layer contains a resin composition and a solvent and the solvent is present in a total amount of at least 5 wt % based on the total weight of the resin layer. The dry film of the present invention can be applied onto a substrate without the use of a prior art vacuum lamination apparatus. The application process is simple and is more cost-efficient than the prior art techniques.
Alkoxysilane-modified polyamic acid solution, laminate and flexible device each produced using same, and method for producing laminate
A (A) polyamic acid solution which can be (i) used to form a film that does not peel off even in a case where the film has a large thickness, and (ii) stably stored at a room temperature, and (B) a laminate that can be suitably used for production of a flexible device. An alkoxysilane-modified polyamic acid solution that can be obtained by reacting (a) an alkoxysilane compound containing the amino group and (b) a polyamic acid solution, and has a molar ratio of 0.980 or more and 0.9995 or less, which molar ratio is obtained by dividing a total number of moles of an aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride by a total number of moles of an aromatic diamine.
PEELABLE POLYIMIDE COMPOSITE FILM
A peelable polyimide composite film includes a first polyimide film having a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other; and a second polyimide film attached to the first surface of the first polyimide film A difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the first polyimide film and the second polyimide film is greater than or equal to 9 um/m C., so that the first polyimide film and the second polyimide film can be peeled off from each other.
Erosion resistant coatings
An erosion resistant article such as rotor blades for helicopters and wind turbines having the leading edge surface protected from damage from high speed impingement of rain or sand with a protective coating formed from specific polyurethane or polyurea coating having a defined set of minimum physical properties where the protective coating can be applied as a liquid coating and cured in place or as a preformed complementary shaped covering to protect the leading edge against erosion damage in service.
Polyimide resin composition
Provided is a polyimide resin composition capable of forming a polyimide film which is excellent in transparency and heat resistance and has a low thermal linear expansion coefficient. The polyimide resin composition contains a polyimide resin produced by reacting (A) a tetracarboxylic dianhydride with (B) a diamine containing a phenolic hydroxyl group-containing diamine in an amount of from 5 to 100 mol % of the total diamine; and silica microparticles, in a ratio by mass of from 25/75 to 60/40.
Pharmaceutical glass coating for achieving particle reduction
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to coated glass articles which reduce glass particle formation caused by glass to glass contact in pharmaceutical glass filling lines.
