Conductive member

Provided is such a conductive member that a change in its electrical resistance value caused by its long-term use is reduced to the extent possible. The conductive member has a conductive support and a conductive layer, the conductive layer contains a rubber composition formed of a modified epichlorohydrin rubber, and the modified epichlorohydrin rubber has a unit represented by the following formula (1). In the formula (1), R1, R2, and R3 each independently represent hydrogen or a saturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms. ##STR00001##

This invention relates to a polymer composition, comprising: water; a water-soluble polymer; and solid particulates of a sequestering agent. The composition may be used for decontaminating, cleaning and/or washing substrates contaminated with contaminants and/or contaminated materials.

Decorative sheet

Provided is a decorative sheet which can impart, to molded resin articles, excellent design attractiveness and an excellent touch both due to a rugged shape. The decorative sheet comprises, superposed in the following order, a base layer, a surface layer which is constituted of a cured object obtained from a curable resin composition and has the rugged shape, and a removable thermoplastic resin film.

Nonconductive films for lighter than air balloons

Non-conductive films for constructing lighter than air balloons are provided. A non-conductive film may include multiple layers of gas barrier polymers. An outer surface printable layer and an interior heat or ultrasonically sealable layer may also be included. Each gas barrier film may include multiple (e.g., from 3 to approximately 75) barrier layers. A gas barrier core has a nano-layer structure. A gas barrier core may also include a biodegradable film or a bio-based film. A non-conductive film may include a metal layer for enhancing gas barrier properties. The metal layer may be discontinuous. The metal layer may be conductive and coated with an insulating top coat.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING MULTI-LAYER SUBSTRATES COMPRISING SANDWICH LAYERS AND POLYETHYLENE

Methods for forming multi-layer substrates including top and bottom surface layers and a melt softened thermoplastic material layer between the exterior surface layers, where the thermoplastic material includes polyethylene or has a tan delta value of 0.2 to 0.4 within the temperature range of 100° F.-350° F. The 3 (or more) layers are assembled, and heated, melt softening the thermoplastic material, causing bonding of the thermoplastic layer to the exterior surface layers. A cleaning composition may be loaded onto the multi-layer substrate, where a fluid pathway through the melted thermoplastic material allows the cleaning composition to travel between the surface layers. Adhesion between the surface layers and the thermoplastic layer is provided by the thermoplastic material itself, which bonds to groups of fibers in the surface layers. The process does not require chemical adhesives, any processing water, drying, or the like, so as to be possible with low capital investment.

MULTILAYER ENCAPSULATION THIN-FILM

A multilayer encapsulation thin-film and a method and apparatus for preparing a multilayer encapsulation thin-film are provided. The multilayer encapsulation thin-film includes an inorganic thin film that includes a metal oxide, and an organic thin film that includes a polymer and is formed on the inorganic thin film, where the inorganic thin film and the organic thin film are alternately stacked in multiple layers.

Barrier films

Various polymeric barrier compositions are described which when formed into films, are useful in reducing transmission of odors. The films can be incorporated into a wide range of products such as multilayer barrier films used in medical applications and particularly in ostomy appliances. In certain versions, the films include semi-crystalline cyclic olefin copolymers.

Heat-ray shielding film, heat-ray shielding transparent laminated base material, and automobile mounted with the heat-ray shielding transparent laminated base material as window material, and building using the heat-ray shielding transparent laminated base material as window material

There is provided a heat-ray shielding film mainly composed of polyvinyl acetal resin and capable of exhibiting excellent heat shielding properties, and a heat-ray shielding transparent laminated base material using the heat-ray shielding film, the heat-ray shielding film including: a compound having a heat-ray shielding function; a selective wavelength absorbing material; polyvinyl acetal resin, and a plasticizer; wherein the selective wavelength absorbing material has a transmittance profile in which a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 550 nm is 90% or more, and a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 450 nm is 40% or less.

Engineered waterproof plastic composite flooring and wall covering planks

Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.

Recycled rubber backed cushioned vinyl

A laminated surface covering including a facing material made of vinyl and a backing material comprising a rubber component. The rubber component comprising at least a matrix of bonded rubber granules. A bonding material disposed between the facing material and the backing material. The facing material configured to melt at a temperature between 165° F. and 248° F. infiltrating the backing material thereby essentially encasing the rubber granules of the matrix and providing fire retardation and smoke suppression qualities.
