A face mask includes a non-woven fabric filter configured to be worn on a user's face. A composition with anti-viral properties is arranged on the fabric. The composition preferably includes anti-viral oils and an anti-viral metal such as copper or copper oxide.

A wound dressing having anti-microbial activity comprises a first fiber capable of bonding with silver (1) cations. The wound dressing comprises a blend of the first fiber to which silver (1) cations are bonded and a second fiber which is substantially free from silver. The wound dressing comprises from 0.01 to 5.0 percent by weight of silver (1) cations, based on the weight of fiber.

Absorbable polyester fibers, braids, and surgical meshes with prolonged strength retention have been developed. These devices are preferably derived from biocompatible copolymers or homopolymers of 4-hydroxybutyrate. The devices may also be particularly suitable for use in pediatric populations where their absorption should not hinder growth, and provide in all patient populations wound healing with long-term mechanical stability. The devices may additionally be combined with autologous, allogenic and/or xenogenic tissues to provide implants with improved mechanical, biological and handling properties.

Load Plan Generator (LPG) is a BIAPPS utility for generating ODI load plans based on desired subset of fact tables for loading BIAPPS Data Warehouse. The tool simplifies the configurations process by minimizing the manual steps and configurations and provides a guided list of configurations steps and checklists. The load plan components can include different sets of load plans that will be stitched together by the load plan generator to create one load plan for loading chosen fact groups in the warehouse sourcing from different transaction systems.

A gypsum product with a fortified glass fiber mat is provided in which the glass fiber mat is strengthened by crystallization of salt crystals on the glass fiber mat prior to the glass fiber mat use in the gypsum product. A controlled release biocidal salt of a first component comprises a cation of a N.sup.-(C.sub.1-C.sub.22) alkanoyl di-basic amino acid alkyl (C.sub.1-C.sub.22) ester cationic biocidal molecule and a second component comprising an anion of a monomeric anionic molecule having insignificant biocidal activity. The salt is characterized such that when the salt is exposed to an aqueous medium, the salt partially dissolves thereby releasing biocidal ions in an amount sufficient to exceed the MIC or MBC of a target bacteria being controlled, and further characterized as leaving a residual reservoir of undissolved salt capable of releasing more biocidal ions as the salt is consumed or otherwise removed from the environment encompassing the target bacteria. The preferred cationic biocidal molecule comprises N.sup.-lauroyl-L-arginine ethyl ester (LAE).
