PROBIOTIC AUGMENTATION OF ANTI-TUMOR ENDOTHELIUM IMMUNE RESPONSES
Augmenting or stimulating an immune response, to tumor endothelial cells, by: a) obtaining a tumor endothelial antigen or composition of antigens; b) administering said tumor endothelial antigen or composition of antigens in an immunogenic manner to a host; and c) providing a probiotic and/or prebiotic mixture to said host being immunized.
ADJUVANTS USEFUL FOR STIMULATION OF IMMUNITY TO TUMOR ENDOTHELIAL CELLS
Adjuvants acting at the level of antigen presentation useful for stimulation of specific immunity against tumor endothelial cells. In one embodiment the invention teaches the use of activation of specific antigen presenting cell programs to selectively induce cytotoxic T cells and antibodies with complement activating ability while not evoking antigenic responses that potentially stimulate angiogenesis or growth of tumor endothelial cells. Specifically, the invention teaches selection and use of adjuvants that inhibit suppressive dendritic cell produced factors, surface bound and soluble, while stimulating activatory cytokines. Adjuvant means include innate activatory molecules, gene silencing means, alarmins, and other stimulatory means resembling “danger” signals.
Cancer stem cell targeted cancer vaccines
Provided herein are cancer stem cell targeted cancer vaccines and methods for treating and vaccinating against cancer. Also contained herein are regimens by which cancer stem cell targeted cancer vaccines are administered, such regimens comprising peptides, compositions, immunomodulatory agents, and emulsifiers. Also provided are the patient populations to which the regimens are to be administered, and the dosages, schedules, route of administration for the regimens.
TREATMENT OF CANCER USING CHIMERIC ANTIGEN RECEPTOR
The invention provides compositions and methods for treating diseases associated with expression of a cancer associated antigen as described herein. The invention also relates to chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific to a cancer associated antigen as described herein, vectors encoding the same, and recombinant T cells comprising the CARs of the present invention. The invention also includes methods of administering a genetically modified T cell expressing a CAR that comprises an antigen binding domain that binds to a cancer associated antigen as described herein.
Peptide vaccines
The disclosure relates to polypeptides and pharmaceutical compositions comprising polypeptides that find use in the prevention or treatment of cancer, in particular gastric cancer, lung cancer, melanoma and bladder cancer. The disclosure also relates to methods of inducing a cytotoxic T cell response in a subject or treating cancer by administering pharmaceutical compositions comprising the peptides, and companion diagnostic methods of identifying subjects for treatment. The peptides comprise T cell epitopes that are immunogenic in a high percentage of patients.
PRIMING OF AN IMMUNE RESPONSE
The present invention relates to a technology and method of priming of an immune response using invariant chain linked antigen, when these are used to prime a subsequent booster immunization using any suitable vacci.
CD4 T cell vaccine and use thereof
The present invention relates to a CD4 T cell vaccine and a use thereof, and provides a CD4 T cell vaccine which can increase intracellular viability and effectively induce an antigen-specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response.
VACCINE COMPOSITION FOR TRANSDERMAL ADMINISTRATION
Disclosed is a vaccine composition for transdermal administration to induce cellular immunity, comprising an antigen, wherein Th1 cell ratio in a model animal for immunological evaluation that received the composition is 10% or more.
RECOMBINANT LISTERIA STRAIN EXPRESSING HETEROLOGOUS ANTIGEN FUSION PROTEINS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Disclosed herein are recombinant nucleic acids encoding tumor antigens fused to immunogenic polypeptides and recombinant Listeria strains comprising the same, methods of preparing same, and methods of inducing an immune response, and treating, inhibiting, or suppressing cancer or tumors comprising administering same.
MULTILAMELLAR LIPID VESICLE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE
The present invention provides novel and inventive drug delivery systems with higher loading capability, a capacity to sequester high tumors levels of both hydrophobic and hydrophilic agents simultaneously, and longer release profiles. Some aspects of these delivery systems include compositions including stabilized multilamellar lipid vesicles having crosslinked lipid bilayers (referred to herein as inter-bilayer-crosslinked multilamellar vesicles or ICMV) covalently conjugated to an agent (e.g., an antigen).
