Web server for multi-version web documents
A repository server that provides stored copies of Web-accessible documents A client of the repository server may register a document in the repository server. The repository server makes a copy of the registered document and returns a repository URL for the copy to the client. The repository URL may be used to fetch the copy from the repository URL. Registration further relates the stored copy to its document URL, to an identifier for the stored copy, to a fingerprint that is a condensed representation of the stored copy's content and can be used to determine degrees of similarity other than match-no match, and to a set of stored copies having similar content. The fingerprints are used to compute similarity. The similarity computation further employs comparisons of links in the documents and of document URLS to determine whether it is necessary to use the fingerprints to compute similarity.
Dynamic language translation of web site content
A method, system and computer program product for providing translated web content is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request from a user on a web site, the web site having a first web content in a first language, wherein the request calls for a second web content in a second language. The method further includes dividing the first web content into a plurality of translatable components and generating a unique identifier for each translatable component. The method further includes identifying a plurality of translated components of the second web content using the unique identifier of each of the plurality of translatable components of the first web content and putting the plurality of translated components of the second web content to preserve a format that corresponds to the first web content. The method further includes providing the second web content in response to the request that was received.
Analyzing web site for translation
A system, method and computer readable medium for synchronizing web content is disclosed. The method includes retrieving a first web content in a first language from a web site, the first web content corresponding to a second web content wherein the second web content is a translation in a second language of the first web content. The method further includes dividing the first web content into a plurality of translatable components and generating a unique identifier for each of the plurality of translatable components. The method further includes matching each of the plurality of translatable components to a plurality of translated components of the second web content using the unique identifier of each of the plurality of translatable components. If a translatable component is not matched to a translated component, the method further includes designating the translatable component for translation into the second language.
System and method for performing an image level snapshot and for restoring partial volume data
The present invention relates to a method for performing an image level copy of an information store. The present invention comprises performing a snapshot of an information store that indexes the contents of the information store, retrieving data associated with the contents of the information store from a file allocation table, copying the contents of the information store to a storage device based on the snapshot, and associating the retrieved data with the copied contents to provide file system information for the copied contents.
Systems and methods for using metadata to enhance data identification operations
Systems and methods for managing electronic data are disclosed. Various data management operations can be performed based on a metabase formed from metadata. Such metadata can be identified from an index of data interactions generated by a journaling module, and obtained from their associated data objects stored in one or more storage devices. In various embodiments, such processing of the index and storing of the metadata can facilitate, for example, enhanced data management operations, enhanced data identification operations, enhanced storage operations, data classification for organizing and storing the metadata, cataloging of metadata for the stored metadata, and/or user interfaces for managing data. In various embodiments, the metabase can be configured in different ways. For example, the metabase can be stored separately from the data objects so as to allow obtaining of information about the data objects without accessing the data objects or a data structure used by a file system.
System and Method for Tracking Information in a Business Environment
A system and method for tracking information in a business environment. The system uses a tree-view hierarchy whereby alerts and time triggers are set by the user and upon the triggering of an event, the visual attributes of the tree-view folders change to reflect the triggering event.
