A convertible carrying case having a first container and a second container that is convertible between a primary configuration and a secondary configuration. Each container having a primary face (with primary access structure for accessing the interior of the container when the convertible carrying case is in the primary configuration) and a secondary face (with secondary access structure for accessing the interior of the container when the convertible carrying case is in the secondary configuration). A first matable half and a second matable half of an openable-closeable connection are connectable to secure the containers in either a primary configuration or a secondary configuration. Preferably, contents within the containers may remain during conversion between the primary configuration and the secondary configuration. A light-weight, easily portable luggage combination is described. The combination comprises a garment bag and a general purpose bag and optionally a utility bag, wherein the garment bag and general purpose bag may be reversibly secured together or used separately if desired. A reusable bag for laundry and laundry hangers includes an enclosure made from a flexible web material having an open end and a closed end. The open end has a closure means, while the closed end includes an aperture adapted to receive a portion of each laundry hanger therethrough. With the open end of the enclosure facing upward in a hamper configuration, dirty laundry may be collected and, when the bag is full, the open end of the enclosure may be selectively closed with the closure means. The reusable bag may be transported to a laundry cleaning facility by carrying with a handle strap, and returned with clean laundry hanging on the laundry hangers inside the enclosure. The closed end of the enclosure may be facing upward in a garment bag configuration for protecting the clean laundry.

This disclosure relates to a messenger bag system having two bags and a collapsed and an expanded configuration. The two bags are connected by one or more connecting members. The bag system is configured such that the connecting member(s) can drape over a seat of a chair when the system is in the expanded configuration. Each bag has one or more retaining members. The retaining member(s) of one bag are configured to be adjacent to a retaining member of the other bag when the bags are in the collapsed configuration. A securing member is used to secure adjacent retaining members to keep the bag system in the collapsed configuration.
