Molecules and agents for treating hepatitis B virus
This invention encompasses compounds and compositions useful in methods for medical therapy, in general, for inhibiting Hepatitis B virus in a subject. The compounds have a first strand and a second strand, each of the strands being 19-29 monomers in length, the monomers comprising UNA monomers and nucleic acid monomers, and the compounds are targeted to a sequence of an HBV genome.
Cationic sulfonamide amino lipids and amphiphilic zwitterionic amino lipids
The present disclosure provides one or more amino lipids such as an amino lipids containing a sulfonic acid or sulfonic acid derivative of the formulas: ##STR00001##
wherein the variables are as defined herein. These amino lipids may be used in compositions with one or more helper lipids and a nucleic acid therapeutic agent. These compositions may be used to treat a disease or disorder such as cancer, cystic fibrosis, or other genetic diseases.
NUCLEIC ACID, MEDICAL NANOPARTICLE, AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION THEREOF
A medical nanoparticle includes a core, an outer lipid layer, an inner lipid layer, a photosensitizer, and a nucleic acid. The core includes a bio-degradable ionic precipitate (BIP). The inner lipid layer is between the core and the outer lipid layer. The photosensitizer is between the inner lipid layer and the outer lipid layer, and the nucleic acid is at the surface of the core.
COMPOUNDS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR INTRACELLULAR DELIVERY OF THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
The disclosure features novel lipids and compositions involving the same. Nanoparticle compositions include a novel lipid as well as additional lipids such as phospholipids, structural lipids, and PEG lipids. Nanoparticle compositions further including therapeutic and/or prophylactics such as RNA are useful in the delivery of therapeutic and/or prophylactics to mammalian cells or organs to, for example, regulate polypeptide, protein, or gene expression.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERY OF RNA
The disclosure provides nanoemulsion compositions and methods of making and using thereof to deliver a bioactive agent such as a nucleic acid to a subject. The nanoemulsion composition comprises a hydrophobic core based on inorganic nanoparticles in a lipid nanoparticle that allows imaging as well as delivering nucleic acids. Methods of using these particles for treatment and vaccination are also provided.
Formulated and/or co-formulated liposome compositions containing toll-like receptor (“TLR”) agonist prodrugs useful in the treatment of cancer and methods thereof
Formulated and/or co-formulated liposomes comprising TLR prodrugs and/or TLR Lipid Moieties and methods of making the liposomes are disclosed herein. The TLR prodrug compositions comprise a drug moiety, a lipid moiety, and linkage unit that inhibit Toll-Like Receptor (e.g., TLR1/2, TLR4, and/or TLR7). The TLR prodrugs can be formulated and/or co-formulated into a liposome to provide a method of treating cancer, immunological disorders, and other disease by utilizing a targeted drug delivery vehicle.

HYBRIDOSOMES, COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THE SAME, PROCESSES FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND USES THEREOF
The present invention provides a hybrid biocompatible carrier (hybridosome) which comprises structural and bioactive elements originating from at least one biocompatible delivery module (BDM) and at least one engineered drug encapsulation module (EDEM) comprising at least one tunable fusogenic moiety. The invention further provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising said hybridosomes, processes for their manufacture, as well as pharmaceutical uses and pharmaceutical methods based thereon.
METHODS OF TREATING CANCER USING A COMBINATION OF TUMOR MEMBRANE VESICLES AND METFORMIN
Disclosed herein is a method for treating a subject having, or at risk of having, a cancer, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a tumor membrane vesicle (TMV) and a metformin. In some embodiments, the TMV comprises a B7-1 and/or IL-12 molecule anchored to a lipid membrane (e.g., by a GPI anchor). In some embodiments, the methods can further comprise administering an immune checkpoint inhibitor. The methods are useful for reducing tumor size and metastasis, and in improving anti-tumor immune responses.
