Ophthalmic Compositions, and Ocular Uses Thereof, of Indigo Carmine
An ophthalmic composition comprising Indigo Carmine, or Indigo Carmine and Trypan Blue, for identification of intraocular structures and membranes within the eye, and methods of delivering and using the same, for surgical treatments of the eye, including glaucoma and cataract surgery.
METHOD OF EVALUATING LYMPHATIC SYSTEM FUNCTION
An embodiment relates to a method of evaluating a lymphatic system function including: selecting one or a plurality of lymphatic routes to be evaluated from a plurality of lymphatic routes existing in four limbs; determining an injection site of a visualization agent based on information on the selected lymphatic route and injection sites of peripheries of the four limbs corresponding to the selected lymphatic route; injecting the visualization agent from the selected injection site; and visualizing the injected visualization agent and evaluating functions of the one or plurality of lymphatic routes to be evaluated.
Liquid delivery composition
The invention provides a composition for use as a delivery vehicle comprising at least one thermo-responsive polymer (polymer A) and at least one ion-sensitive polymer (polymer B) in a liquid formulation. Polymer A is preferably a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer or a cellulose derivative. Polymer B a polysaccharide. The composition can include an active substance for delivery or can be used as a delivery vehicle for a substance added at the time of administration such as mesenchymal stem cells.
FLUORESCEIN FORMULATIONS AND KITS
Compositions comprising a fluorescein component and benoxinate component and the corresponding uses of these compositions are described herein. These compositions have improved storage life and the fluorescein component and/or benoxinate component minimally degrade after 12 to 18 months of storage.
INJECTION COMPOSITION FOR LABELING LESION
The present invention relates to an injectable composition for labeling a lesion and a method for providing information on the position of the lesion using the injectable composition. More specifically, the injectable composition for labeling a lesion according to the present invention can include a second composition comprising a biocompatible viscous material in a first composition comprising a complex containing an active ingredient to resolve a problem of rapid settling of the complex. Additionally, in particular, the injection composition for labeling a lesion according to the present invention can have an effect of allowing a predetermined amount of the complex to be injected by resolving the problem of rapid settling of the complex during preparation of the injection, allowing a certain amount of the complex to be injected, and an effect of enabling convenient and stable use thereof for clinical purposes by resolving the problems of injecting an excessive amount of the complex and the quick spread thereof to the periphery.
METHODS OF CANCER DETECTION USING PARPI-FL
The present disclosure describes methods of use of a composition comprising PARPi-fl to be administered to the oral cavity (e.g., via topical application to surfaces of the oral cavity) followed by imaging of the oral cavity for detection of squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity (e.g., in vivo, e.g., in a dental office setting or intraoperatively). The results disclosed herein show that topically applied PARPi-fl and subsequent intraoperative imaging of oral cavities can improve surgical removal of squamous cell carcinoma cells compared to healthy cells.
Indirect Chromoendoscopy with an Oral Indigo Carmine Base Preparation
Indirect chromoendoscopy is performed by providing a subject with an orally administered composition which includes indigo carmine dye mixed with polyethylene glycol (PEG). Preferably, the subject ingests at least 160 mg of indigo carmine prior to the endoscopic procedure. This is accomplished by ingesting 1 ml to 6 L of a premixed or reconstituted indigo carmine and PEG composition up to twenty four hours prior to the endoscopic procedure.
IMAGING-GUIDED CREATING AND MONITORING OF RETINAL VASCULAR OCCLUSIVE DISEASE
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for imaging-guided monitoring and modeling of retinal vascular occlusive conditions. An example integrated optical coherence tomography (OCT) and scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO) apparatus includes an OCT subsystem to acquire baseline OCT and OCT angiography (OCTA) volumes of a subject without dye before occlusion and subsequent OCT and OCTA volumes of the subject with dye after occlusion. The example apparatus includes an SLO subsystem including a laser controlled to adjust a laser to form a vascular occlusion at a location on a target vessel of the subject. The example apparatus includes a processor to process the OCT and OCTA volumes and feedback from the OCT subsystem and the SLO subsystem to determine a change in three-dimensional vasculature from before the vascular occlusion to after the vascular occlusion.
