Tunable metal-organic framework compositions and methods thereof
The present invention relates to a metal-organic framework composition, as well as constructs and methods thereof. In one particular example, the composition provides a platform having an emission signal in the deep red to near-infrared (NIR) region.
METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR THE DETECTION OF ARTHROPODS
The present invention relates to a method and a composition for detecting the presence of arthropods, and/or their eggs, in the hair of the body and/or head of a subject.
SOLID COMPOSITION FOR THE ORAL ADMINISTRATION OF DYES AND DIAGNOSTIC USE THEREOF
The present application discloses solid compositions for the oral administration of dyes, and diagnostic use thereof. Preferably, such diagnostic use is aimed at the diagnostic evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Nanocrystals, compositions, and methods that aid particle transport in mucus
Nanocrystals, compositions, and methods that aid particle transport in mucus are provided. In some embodiments, the compositions and methods involve making mucus-penetrating particles (MPP) without any polymeric carriers, or with minimal use of polymeric carriers. The compositions and methods may include, in some embodiments, modifying the surface coatings of particles formed of pharmaceutical agents that have a low water solubility. Such methods and compositions can be used to achieve efficient transport of particles of pharmaceutical agents though mucus barriers in the body for a wide spectrum of applications, including drug delivery, imaging, and diagnostic applications. In certain embodiments, a pharmaceutical composition including such particles is well-suited for administration routes involving the particles passing through a mucosal barrier.
Methods for surgical guidance in breast cancer surgery and lymph node dissection using two or more implantation devices comprising a capsule and a population of ultrasound-switchable fluorophores incorporated in the capsule
A tissue implantation device comprises a capsule; and a population of ultrasound-switchable fluorophores incorporated in the capsule. A method of imaging a tissue implantation device in a biological environment comprises disposing the tissue implantation device in a biological environment, the population of ultrasound-switchable fluorophores having a switching threshold in the biological environment; exposing the biological environment to an ultrasound beam to form an activation region within the biological environment; switching the ultrasound-switchable fluorophores in the activation region from an off state to an on state; exciting the ultrasound-switchable fluorophores in the activation region with a beam of electromagnetic radiation; and detecting light emitted by the ultrasound-switchable fluorophores.
SOLID ORAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING DYES FOR USE IN ENDOSCOPIC DIAGNOSIS
Herein described are solid oral compositions of dyes for use in diagnostic endoscopy, preferably colon endoscopy.
SOLID ORAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING DYES
The present invention relates to methods for improving the detection of pathologies in the colon and method of flagging the mucosal lesions in the colon.
POWDER-BASED ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING UNIT COMPRISING A BRUSH CLEANING DEVICE
A powder-based additive manufacturing installation (10) comprises a powder layering device (14) that can be displaced along a path linking a start zone (A) and an end zone (B). The layering device (14) comprises powder smoothing means (35) for depositing powder in a powder deposition zone (P) situated between the start zone (A) and the end zone (B). The installation furthermore comprises a cleaning device (60) situated on the path of the layering device (14), the cleaning device (60) comprising a brushing device (62) for brushing at least one surface of the powder smoothing means (35).
Sol-Gel/Hydrogel Therapeutic Delivery System and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein is a delivery platform for the preparation of versatile sol-gel/hydrogel based nano and micro particles that can be loaded with small molecules. The delivery platform is suitable for topical, transdermal, IV, IP and aerosol drug delivery. Also disclosed herein are methods of treatment using the aforementioned particles.
Porous nanocarriers for the monitoring and treatment of bladder cancer
Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) that may be useful as ultrasound contrast agents for detecting and treating bladder cancer are described herein. The MSNs include a lanthanide, a fluorophore, and an agent detectable by ultrasound.
