The protective folio sleeve including a first flexible panel and a second flexible panel, and a plurality of magnets, with half of the plurality of magnets arranged on one side of a fold line and the other half of the plurality of magnets arranged an opposing side of the fold line, wherein a polarity of each magnet on one side of the fold line is opposite to a polarity of a corresponding magnet on the opposing side of the fold line, and wherein the polarity of each magnet in the line of magnets is opposite to a polarity of an adjacent magnet in the line of magnets, such that collectively the plurality of magnets are configured to passively align and attract edges of the protective folio sleeve.

Described herein are systems and satchels, with an integrated head-mounted display, including a body with sides and a bottom forming an interior and a concavity opposite the interior, the interior and the concavity separated by the bottom and each open at one end, the concavity configured to accept a head-mounted display; and at least one reversible connector configured to reversibly retain the head-mounted display accepted in the concavity, wherein when the head-mounted display is accepted and retained in the concavity the sides are substantially flush with the head-mounted display; and a strap comprising two ends and a reversible connector at each end, the strap convertible to reversibly attach to the body to form a satchel strap or to reversibly attach to the head-mounted display to form a head-mounted display strap.

A crash-ready, portable, item compartmentalization device may include a shell which includes a first half shell and a second half shell. The first half shell and the second half shell may have substantially similar dimensions and define an interior space and an exterior space. One or more pouches may be removably coupled to the shell in the interior space. The crash-ready, portable, item compartmentalization device may be relocated throughout the interior of an emergency vehicle when used with an equipment mounting system or taken to the field for use away from the emergency vehicle. The individual pouches may also be removed and replaced with stocked pouches to replenish the crash-ready, portable, item compartmentalization device.

Mechanism for opening/closing an opening leaf with respect to a frame. The mechanism is configured to cause, upon opening, a lifting of the opening leaf from a closure plane to an opening plane parallel to the closure plane, followed by a pivoting of the opening leaf about a pivot axis orthogonal to the translational movement of the opening leaf, and vice versa upon closing. The mechanism comprises: a fixed frame; a movable frame mounted translationally on the fixed frame; a hinge part mounted in a pivoting manner on the movable frame and coupled to a mechanism for attachment to the opening leaf; an actuator comprising an output member which can be actuated in a direction orthogonal to the pivot axis of the opening leaf; and a transmission that comprises a transmission link coupled in a pivoting manner to the output member, and to the hinge part.

Mechanism for opening/closing an opening leaf with respect to a frame. Personal protective devices have a carrying bag, such as a purse, and a separate bullet resistant vest or penetration resistant (to stab wounds) vest comprises at least one neck sling and at least one torso strap. The bullet/penetration resistant vest is dimensioned to removably fit within the carrying bag. The carrying bags are configured to provide a ready state wherein a bullet resistant shield and neck sling are within the carrying bag while at least a connector attached to the end of a deployable torso strap(s) is outside of the carrying bag. The carrying bag has at least one slot designed to allow the torso strap(s) to be pre-fed from the interior of the carrying bag to a position exterior of the carrying bag. In this ready state, the majority of the torso strap is maintained within the interior of the carrying bag. The neck sling and torso straps are deployable to secure the vest to a wearer's torso in the deployed position.
