New techniques for stowing and rapidly shipping valuables in a retail setting are provided. In some aspects of the invention, a new form of coded shopping bag, configured to covert to a box (a.k.a. a BagBox) for on-location holding and/or shipping is provided. Systems and methods for BagBox conversion, stowing and/or shipping via specialized kiosks are provided. Billing methods based on the coding and recorded user preferences are also provided.

An expandable luggage bag including a first bag portion made of a first material that forms a first interior volume. The expandable luggage bag further includes a second bag portion made of a second material that has a first state having a first rigidity and a second state having a second rigidity different than the first rigidity. The expandable luggage bag further includes a solar panel in selective electrical communication with the second bag portion. The second bag portion is in the first state when the second bag portion is not in electrical communication with the solar panel. The first layer of material and the second layer of material are configured to form a space therebetween. Additionally, the accessory includes a first opening configured to introduce an object into the space and a second opening in communication with a pulling system, wherein the pulling system is removably connected to an end of the object.

A device for carrying multiple collapsible bags having a horizontal member, such as a beam or bar, with a handle for receiving a user's hand along an upper edge and three or more hooks along the lower edge of the horizontal member, in which each hook has an opening to receive a pair of handles of a collapsible bag, and in which each hook is positioned with its opening in a non-coplanar orientation relative to each other hook.

A combination carrying device includes a rigid basket having a flexible bag nested therein. The flexible bag may be formed from one or more fabrics or like materials and define a tapered volume having a pair of handle extensions. The rigid basket may be formed from plastics or like materials and include rotatable handles mounted to sides of the rigid basket via one or more mounting bores. A customer carrying a combination carrying device in a retail establishment may place one or more items in the flexible bag nested within the rigid basket, and extract the flexible bag from the rigid basket after executing a purchase for the items therein.

A totebag convertible into a wearable accessory for storage and transport having a flexible totebag that connects to a flexible linear outer sleeve. The flexible linear outer sleeve transitions longitudinally relative to the length of the flexible totebag between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the flexible linear outer sleeve is fully expanded and envelopes the full length of the flexible totebag such that an open end of the flexible linear outer sleeve is adjacent a top portion of the flexible totebag. In the second position, the flexible linear outer sleeve is compressed near the bottom of the flexible totebag and the flexible totebag is fully exposed. In the first position the totebag is configured as a bracelet, a headband, belt or other wearable accessory.

A bag container system for storing and dispensing bags has a first unit having a top end, a bottom end, and a side wall defining a first chamber adapted to contain one or more bags and a second unit having a top end, a bottom end, and a side wall defining a second chamber adapted to contain one or more bags. A connection mechanism releasably connects the bottom end of the first unit to the top end of the second unit, whereby the bag container system can operate as a single unit with dual chambers or as two separate units each with its own chamber. The chambers can contain and dispense reusable grocery and/or produce bags. Optionally, a wall mount may be provided to hold the first and second unit in a convenient location. A method of using the bag container includes connecting the bottom end of the first unit to the top end of the second unit, rotating the first unit to provide access to the first chamber, and disconnecting the first unit from the second unit to provide access to the second chamber.
