A surgical system is disclosed comprising a robotic system comprising an interface portion, an end effector, a housing, a latching arrangement, and a drive system. The end effector is configured to perform a first action in response to a first actuation motion and a second action in response to a second actuation motion. The drive system comprises a drive assembly configured to generate a rotary control motion, a drive transmission, and a motor. The drive transmission applies the first actuation motion to the end effector in response to the rotary control motion when the drive transmission is in a first position. The drive transmission applies the second actuation motion to the end effector in response to the rotary control motion when the drive transmission is in a second position. The motor is configured selectively shift the drive transmission between the first position and the second position.

A dispensing head is disclosed including a control system located in the dispensing head, an encoder read head located in the dispensing head, and a light-capture sensor located in the dispensing head configured to detect a light flash of a stationary camera when the light flash illuminates a component on the dispensing head or an element of the dispensing head. The control system is configured to determine a precise encoder position with the encoder read head at a moment of the light flash. The dispensing head is configured to at least partially assemble an unfinished product. An assembly machine having the dispensing head and a method of at least partially assembling an unfinished product with the dispensing head is further disclosed.

An assembly machine includes a plurality of track modules, each track module including a section of track, the plurality of track modules connectable to form a continuous circuitous track, the continuous circuitous track configured to receive a dispensing head, the dispensing head configured to rotate about the continuous circuitous track and at least partially assemble an unfinished product. The machine includes a first feeder module attached to a first length of the continuous circuitous track configured to feed a component to the dispensing head, and a first placement module attached to a second length of the continuous circuitous track configured to receive the unfinished product. The dispensing head is configured to place the component on the unfinished product. The assembly machine is reconfigurable by attaching or removing one or more of the plurality of track modules, the first feeder module and the first placement module.

Tire mounting method using a tire mounting device
A tire mounting method is provided for automatically mounting a tire onto hub bolts of a motor vehicle. The method includes gripping the tire and temporarily tightening nuts on the hub bolts on which the tire has been placed with a first working mechanism. The nuts that have been temporarily tightened by the first working mechanism are fully tightened with a second working mechanism, which is disposed in association with a first mounting region on a front wheel side or on a rear wheel side of the motor vehicle. The nuts that have been temporarily tightened by the first working mechanism are fully tightened with a third working mechanism, which is disposed in association with a second mounting region on the rear wheel side or on the front wheel side of the motor vehicle.
Tire mounting apparatus
A tire mounting apparatus is constructed from a first working mechanism and a second working mechanism that are separate from each other. The first working mechanism is provided with a tire holding device for holding a tire and with a temporary tightening device for temporarily tightening nuts onto hub bolts to which the tire is mounted. The second working mechanism is provided with a final tightening device means for finally tightening the temporarily tightened nuts. The final tightening device includes two nut runners and an interval adjuster for adjusting an interval between the two nut runners.
