Each prong has a proximal portion connected to a distal portion by a sloped portion. The middle prong may have a side extension, including a side extension proximal portion, a side extension sloped portion, and a side extension distal portion. The tool may be part of kit comprising at least one battery adapted to be disconnected using the tool.
Apparatus and method for mounting an under-cabinet storage system
A unique apparatus and method for mounting an under-cabinet storage system which provides opposed arms having a ratchet mechanism, a sliding anchor bar, and a stationary anchor bar, and fixedly connected to one another by a central support. The under-cabinet storage system does not require tools, hardware, or fasteners to install or remove from the base of a cabinet and is hidden except for the storage compartment that is used to attach a variety of accessories including, but not limited to, cutlery or knife blocks, shelves, paper towel holders, hooks, lights, harnesses, or other structures where drilling holes and using penetrating fasteners are unwarranted, inconvenient, or ill-advised; such as cabinets in kitchens, baths, campers, boats, etc.
DEVICE FOR USE WITH FLOOR DRAINS
A tool for use with a basket assembly is provided. The basket assembly is of the type configured for being receivably engaged with an opening defined in a drain cover skirt for covering the perimeter of a floor drain. The tool is configured for engaging the basket assembly and removing the basket assembly from the drain cover skirt upon force input from a user.
Scalpel blade remover
A blade disarmer is provided herein. The blade disarmer includes a base member having an elongated portion, a bottom portion, and first and second walls extending from the elongated portion. A cover member is removably attached to the base member forming a cavity therebetween. The cover member includes a hinge separating a body portion and a tab. A pair of dome-shaped portions is disposed on the tab configured to assist a pair of side surfaces of the tab proximate each respective dome-shaped portion to flex laterally. A closure mechanism is disposed on the first and second walls and configured to maintain the tab in a plurality of positions. First and second protrusions extend into the cavity.
LUER LOCK TOOLS AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING A LUER LOCK FITTING
Devices and methods for assembling a luer lock fitting (e.g., fitting for use in a hemodialysis and/or a peritoneal dialysis machine) may include a luer lock tool comprising a tool base including a grip portion adjacent a tool portion, the grip portion having an outer diameter and an internal cavity. The tool portion may have an internal cavity and may be configured to selectively receive and retain a male luer lock fitting at a first end of the cavity. A tool cap may have an outer diameter and an internal cavity. The tool cap may include a recessed portion at an end configured to selectively receive and retain a female luer lock fitting. The tool cap internal cavity may be configured to receive at least a portion of the tool portion of the tool base.
Spike puller and method for pulling a railroad spike of a track
A spike puller for pulling a railroad spike of a track includes a housing, a linear displacement unit mounted at the housing, and a claw unit for gripping the railroad spike. The claw unit is displaceable in a linear manner relative to the housing in a displacement direction by using the linear displacement unit. The linear displacement unit includes a hollow tube which is guided in the housing. An electric drive unit electrically operates the linear displacement unit. A method for pulling a railroad spike of a track is also provided.
Sink drain fitting ring installation tool
A tool for installing a retainer ring onto the lower portion of a loosely inserted drain fitting for engaging a mounting flange thereto includes a generally resilient tubular segment provided with a plurality of axially aligned and resiliently cantilevered peripherally adjacent strips within which the retaining ring is received in a compressed engagement seated on a shoulder of each strip. A threaded shaft extends through a bottom plate of the segment received in the drain fitting and then through the cup interior to axially advance the axially aligned ring carried by the strips. A platform for both supporting the threaded shaft within the drain fitting and for supporting a garbage disposal on a base is included.
DROP-IN ANCHOR SETTING TOOL AND METHOD OF USE
The present invention relates in general to the field of securing structural members to masonry, and more specifically, to a drop-in anchor setting tool and method of use. The drop-in anchor setting tool includes a hands-free safety feature that allows the drop-in anchor and setting tool to remain embedded in the masonry during installation. In particular, the drop-in anchor setting tool includes a threaded portion configured to screw together the drop-in anchor and the drop-in anchor setting tool during installation. A purpose of invention is to provide a drop-in anchor setting tool and method of use that minimizes risk of injury to the operator during installation, is easy to use, and cost-effective to manufacture.
Surgical instruments and devices and methods facilitating the manufacture of the same
An assembly tool for facilitating assembly of a surgical instrument includes a handle, a neck extending from the handle, and a portion of or an entire pivot pin engaged with the neck via a frangible connection. The pivot pin is engagable with the surgical instrument. The frangible connection is configured to break upon application of stress thereto above a threshold, thereby separating the pivot pin (or portion thereof) from the neck. A method of assembling using such an assembly tool includes positioning a component of a surgical instrument for receipt of a pivot pin, manipulating the assembly tool to operably engage the pivot pin with the component, and manipulating the assembly tool to apply stress to the frangible connection to break-off the pivot pin (or portion thereof) from the assembly tool along the frangible connection.
