A life vest stowage device comprises a receptacle with a receptacle opening. The device has first and second tabs with first and second tab apertures. In a closed configuration, a closure flap is in a folded position in which it at least partially covers the opening. The first and second tabs are exposed through the closure flap to allow access to the tab apertures from an outer side of the closure flap. A pull strap extends from the interior volume through the opening and over the outer side of the closure flap. The pull strap has a pull strap aperture securable to the first and second tab apertures by a frangible seal, such that the closure flap can only be moved to an unfolded position by moving the pull strap aperture and the first and second tab apertures away from one another so as to break the frangible seal.

Disclosed is a system for a combination bag, mat, and flotation device. The system includes an elongated mat having an external surface, internal surface, a mat section first side and second side, and a mat section first side and second side. A pair of flotation devices are attached to the mat section first side and second side. Each flotation device has an internal air compartment, inflation nozzle, and attachment element, and when inflated, allow the mat to be used as a flotation device. A first fastener being in attachment proximate to the mat section first side and a second fastener being in attachment proximate to the mat section second side. The first fastener and second fastener are configured to removably mate with each other. When the mat is folded so that the first fastener and second fastener are mated and the zipper is sealed, the mat forms a bag configuration.

A configurable towel/bag assembly is provided. The configurable towel/bag is especially suitable for both acting like a towel and for converting into a bag orientation for holding items in a cool environment while still maintaining separate use of the towel if desired. The towel/bag assembly may comprise a first surface and a second surface. The first surface may be a moisture-absorbing surface (the towel surface) and the second surface may be a moisture-resistant surface. Preferably the first and second surfaces are permanently secured together; however, in one embodiment, the first and second surfaces may be selectively removed from each other for independent use of each surface. In one embodiment, a rough area of the apparatus allows for the scrubbing and cleaning golf balls and golf clubs.
