PVD-aluminum pigment dispersion and cosmetic formulations

This invention is directed to an effect pigment dispersion comprising a PVD-aluminum pigment, a leafing additive and an oil suitable for cosmetic skin care or color cosmetic applications, wherein a) the amount of the PVD-aluminum pigment is in a range of 8 to 30 wt.-%, b) the amount of the oil is in a range of 70 to 90 wt.-%, each based on the total weight of the effect pigment dispersion and c) the leafing additive is partly adsorbed on the surface of the PVD-aluminum pigment and partly an excess additive dissolved in the oil, wherein the amount of excess leafing additive is in a range of 0 to 25 wt.-%, based on the weight of PVD aluminum pigment. Further cosmetic skin care of color cosmetic formulations containing this effect pigment dispersion are described.

Stabilizing additives for thermochromic pigments

A microencapsulation process is improved by adding a stabilizing agent that contains one or more catalytic organo-metal oxide materials, such as metal soaps. This functions as a crosslinker by causing unsaturated bonds in the microcapsule walls to react, thereby stabilizing the microcapsules against the effects of additives to coatings that, otherwise, degrade the functionality of thermochromic or photochromic materials at the microcapsule core.

Method, composition for the preparation and cleaning of photochromic dyes resulting in a product suitable for use on human skin

A method and composition of an organic manufactured photochromic dye that is free of carcinogens, non-mutagenic, non-toxic to human skin in any concentration, and suitable for application to, and absorbable by, human skin. The photochromic dye is suitable to be applied directly to human skin, and which dye is configured to indicate exposure to UV rays. The composition is configured to change color upon exposure to UVA, UVB and/or UVC rays. The composition can be used with other compositions, such as sunscreen, and be applied to human skin prior to application of the sunscreen, or, formulated with the sunscreen such that when the active ingredients of the sunscreen diminish, the photochromic dye will change color to generate a visual indicator of this condition.

ARRAY OF HAIR DYE PRODUCTS
20250114285 · 2025-04-10 ·

An array of hair dye products formulated to provide the same hair color to users with different hair colors or a different variety of colors of users with the same hair color. The array includes at least two hair dye products. The hair dye products each include a hair dye composition contained in a package. A first hair dye product in the array includes a photochromic dye that provides a color change to a first hair color, and a second hair dye product in the array includes the same photochromic dye that provides the same color change to a second, different color of hair. The array may also include two or more hair dye products that contain different ratios of photochromic dye(s) to provide users with different hair colors the same or different tunable hair colors.

HAIR DYE COMPOSITION
20250114289 · 2025-04-10 ·

A tunable hair dye composition that includes a photochromic dye, a cosmetically acceptable solvent and, optionally, a carrier. When activated with a suitable activating electromagnetic radiation, the photochromic dye molecule changes color, thereby imparting a temporary color change to the composition and hair to which it is applied. When deactivated, the photochromic dye is generally colorless. The color imparted by the photochromic dye can be tuned by adjusting the wavelength and/or fluence of the activating and/or deactivating electromagnetic radiation. Thus, a wide variety of different hair colors can be obtained from a single hair dye composition containing specific combinations of photochromic dyes.

The photochromic layer may include a plurality of photochromic materials, including a first photo-responsive pigment characterized by reversible diffuse reflectance at a first central wavelength from 490 nm to 520 nm in response to irradiation by photons of a first characteristic wavelength, a second photo-responsive pigment characterized by reversible diffuse reflectance at a second central wavelength from 570 nm to 590 nm in response to irradiation by photons of a second characteristic wavelength, and a third photo-responsive pigment characterized by reversible diffuse reflectance at a third central wavelength from 450 nm to 495 nm and a fourth central wavelength from 625 nm to 740 nm in response to irradiation by photons of a third characteristic wavelength. The first, second, and third characteristic wavelengths may be different.

Agent for dyeing keratinuos material, comprising aminosilicone, a chromophoric compound and an addition product of C.SUB.1.-C.SUB.6 .alkylene oxide(s) to the esters of fatty acids and aromatic alcohols

An agent for dyeing keratinous material (e.g. human hair) is disclosed. The agent comprises at least one amino-functionalized silicone polymer; at least one color-imparting compound; and at least one addition product of C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkylene oxide(s) to the esters of C.sub.12-C.sub.30 fatty acids and C.sub.1-C.sub.12 aromatic alcohols. A method for dyeing keratinous material is also disclosed, and comprises applying the agent to keratinous material, exposing the agent to the keratinous material, and rinsing the keratinous material to remove the agent.

Hair dye composition

A tunable hair dye composition that includes at least two photochoromic dyes, each activatable by activating electromagnetic radiation and deactivatable by deactivating electromagnetic radiation. The composition can be applied to a target skin or hair surface and, when activated, impart a temporary color change to the skin or hair. Prior to activation, the photochromic dye is generally colorless. The intensity or shade of a color imparted by a photochromic dye can be tuned by adjusting the fluence of the activating and/or deactivating electromagnetic radiation. Thus, a wide variety of different hair colors can be obtained from a single hair dye composition containing specific combinations of photochromic dyes.
