Compositions and methods for treating hair
Disclosed are hair styling compositions comprising at least two latex polyurethane polymers, wherein at least one latex polyurethane polymer is a film-forming polymer, and at least one component chosen from coalescing agents and plasticizers. Methods of styling the hair are also disclosed.
Dispersion and method for forming hydrogel
An object is to provide dispersion containing lipid peptide type compound useful as low molecular weight gelator, such as lipid dipeptide and lipid tripeptide, and dissolution accelerator capable of dissolving the lipid peptide type compound at lower temperature and more easily. It is also an object to provide dispersion that can form hydrogel by simpler method and under milder condition (low temperature) and from which gel can be obtained as gel having high thermal stability, and provide method for forming the gel. Dispersion including: a lipid peptide type compound in which peptide portion formed by repetition of at least two or more identical or different amino acids is bonded to lipid portion including C.sub.10-24 aliphatic group; dissolution accelerator having, in molecules thereof, hydrophilic portion and hydrophobic portion, the hydrophilic portion having betaine structure; and water; and method for producing hydrogel by use of the dispersion.
Oral composition for xerostomia
The present invention discloses an oral composition comprising a combination of salivating agents and gum sensates in an orally acceptable carrier useful in treating and/or alleviating the symptoms associated with xerostomia. Additional components common in oral compositions may also be used, in order to potentiate the effect. Such components may be chosen among humectants, mucoadhesive polymers, water retention agents, antioxidants, antimicrobials, breath fresheners.
Topical composition comprising plant extracts
The present invention relates to a topical composition comprising plant extracts. In particular, the present invention relates to a topical composition comprising plant extracts embedded in hydrophilic vesicles (niosomes), preferably having a size smaller than 500 nm, and at least one topically acceptable excipient.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR PROVIDING BROAD SPECTRUM PHOTO PROTECTION USING ANTIOXIDANTS
The present disclosure relates to methods and compositions for providing at least broad spectrum photo protection to skin, which includes protection from at least infrared (IR) radiation and/or visible light. The methods typically entail applying to skin a cosmetic composition comprising: (a) one or more antioxidants selected from the group consisting of baicalin, Venuceane™, ferulic acid, polydatin, silymarin, punica granatum extract, mango leaf extract, soliprin, catechin, hesperetin, astilbin, and DHC V; (b) optionally, one or more solubilizers; and (c) a cosmetically acceptable carrier; wherein the combination of (a), optional (b), and (c) alone, provide at least broad spectrum protection from both infrared (IR) radiation and visible light. UV filters can also optionally be included to provide additional protection from UV light.
LIP COMPOSITIONS
Lip compositions, in particular lip oil compositions, capable of forming a multilayer structure after application to lips are provided, as well as methods of applying such compositions to lips.
Copolymers in cosmetic compositions
The present invention concerns the use of a specific copolymer to homogenize compositions that include coloring pigments and/or pearlescent pigments and film-forming polymers, as well as the cosmetic compositions containing said copolymer.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ANTI-WRINKLE FUNTIONAL COSMETICS
The present disclosure provides a method for preparing an anti-wrinkle functional cosmetic substance comprising cutting herbal materials comprising angelica gigas root, rehmannia glutinosa root, a paeonia albiflora root, mentha arvensis, angelica dahurica root, scrophularia buergeriana, rheum undulatum root/stalk/stem, sanguisorba officinalis root, and cinnamomum cassia bark into pieces, putting a mixture of the herbal material pieces, talc, a pearl powder, deep ocean water into an extractor, sterilizing the mixture, then fermenting the mixture by mixed lactobacillales strain, and then hot-water extracting the mixture into a solid, freeze-drying the extracted solid into a freeze-dried powder, and dissolving and high-speed mixing the freeze-dried powder, adenosine, and borax in a beeswax, a perilla oil, an olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, and a helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil heated and chamaecyparis obtusa water heated.
Cosmetics comprising cosmetic compositions impregnated in hydrophobic polymer foam
The present disclosure relates to cosmetics including a foam for cosmetic composition impregnation including natural rubber (NR) and hydrophobic polymer as a polymer substrate for making the foam, and a cosmetic composition including an organic ultraviolet (UV) blocking component, that is impregnated in the foam. The present disclosure has a reduction in amount of the organic UV blocking component adsorbed to the impregnation material, and can obtain an excellent UV blocking effect.
HAIR COLORING METHOD WITH LIQUID GLOVES
A method for reducing skin staining during the coloring of hair includes the following steps in the indicated sequence: A1) applying a coloring agent (F) to the hair, A2) allowing the coloring agent (F) to act for a time period from 30 seconds to 45 minutes, B1) applying an undiluted cleaning agent (R) to skin areas that can come into contact with the coloring agent (F) when the latter is washed out, C1) jointly washing out the coloring agent (F) and cleaning agent (R), wherein the coloring agent (F) includes at least one oxidation dye precursor and/or at least one direct dye and the cleaning agent (R) includes at least one anionic surfactant.
A multicomponent packaging unit includes the coloring agent (F) and the cleaning agent (R).
