A hydrophilized organic powder that has a hydrophilizing-coat of polyoxyethylene (10) isostearyl ether on a hydrophobic organic powder is provided. Further, a cosmetic that includes the hydrophilized organic powder is provided. The hydrophobic organic powder is preferably an organic resin powder or a metallic soap powder, or a combination thereof.
PRODUCING METHOD OF COSMETICS AND COSMETICS
To improve a fresh sense of use, an excellent feeling of use of hydrophobic powder, color development, transparency, ultraviolet shielding ability, and the like. In production of a cosmetic containing, respectively, 1 wt % or more of water and hydrophobic powder, (A) hydrophilic nonionic surfactant as monoether compound of branched higher alcohol having 12 to 20 carbons and polyoxyethylene group and (B) water are mixed, and then mixed with (C) hydrophobic powder.
Personal care compositions comprising anti-dandruff agents
A personal care composition comprises a personal care adjunct ingredient, an anti-dandruff agent, and cationic co-polymer disposed on an outer surface of the anti-dandruff agent. The cationic co-polymer has a viscosity of at least 0.09 poise and comprises monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylamide (“AAM”), dimethyl acrylamide (“DMAA”), acrylamidopropyl trimethylamonium chloride (“APTAC”), methacrylamidopropyl trimethylammonium chloride (“MAPTAC”), and combinations thereof.
Surface-modified effect pigment and nail varnish composition
The invention relates to a surface-modified effect pigment comprising particular additives and to the production thereof. The present invention further provides a nail varnish composition comprising a) at least one effect pigment that has been surface-modified with a starting material (additive), where the effect pigment comprises a substrate in platelet form and optionally at least one coating applied to the substrate, b) at least one hydrocarbon resin as binder, and c) at least one solvent or solvent mixture, where the starting material (additive) for surface modification of the effect pigment is at least one compound taken from the group consisting of phosphoric ester-containing, phosphonic ester-containing, phosphonic acid-containing, fatty acid-containing and/or silane-containing compounds or mixtures thereof.
Tooth whitening oral care product with core shell silica particles
The present invention provides a tooth whitening oral care composition comprising: (i) a dye having a blue to blue-violet color with a hue angle in the CIELAB system ranging from 200 to 320 degrees; (ii) core shell silica particles, wherein each core shell silica particle comprises a silica core, and a surface of the silica core is etched with metal silicate; (iii) an orally acceptable carrier vehicle comprising a non-aqueous solvent; and wherein the composition comprises water in an amount of from 3 weight % to 30 weight %.
Water-in-oil type emulsification cosmetic
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water-in-oil emulsified solid cosmetic having a relatively high internal-aqueous-phase proportion (about 40% or higher), the cosmetic being a makeup which has an excellent concealing effect and gives a natural finish and which is stable and has satisfactory applicability. The present invention relates to a solid cosmetic in water-in-oil emulsified type characterized by comprising (A) at least one fatty acid glyceryl ester selected from the group consisting of glyceryl isostearate, poly(2-glyceryl) diisostearate, and glyceryl oleate, (B) an aqueous component, (C) an oily component, and (D) a powdery component, the oily component (C) comprising a solid oil (C1) and an oil-soluble film former (C2) and the powdery component (D) comprising titanium dioxide (D1) having a primary-particle diameter of 0.05-0.5 μm in an amount of 10 mass % or more relative to the whole cosmetic preparation and further containing a pearl pigment (D2).
SUNSCREEN MULTILAYER PARTICLE
The present invention relates to a multilayer UV filter particle, comprising: an odd number of alternating layers of high and low refractive index materials, wherein each layer has a refractive index that differs from that of adjacent layers by at least 0.2, the total number of layers is at least 9, and the particle does not contain a substrate. The particle according to the present invention can have a good UV filtering effect.
AQUEOUS LIQUID COSMETIC
An aqueous liquid cosmetic containing 1 to 20% by mass of (A) a flake aluminum powder coated with a layer containing a silicon compound; 0.5 to 10% by mass of (B) a polycarboxylic acid-based dispersant having a mass-average molecular weight of 10,000 or less; and 1 to 40% by mass of (C) a film-forming polymer emulsion in terms of a solid content is provide. Normally, the aqueous liquid cosmetic contains at least 40% by mass of water, and further may optionally contain (D) a color pigment as another ingredient. This aqueous liquid cosmetic is suitable for eye makeup applications such as eyeliners, eyebrows, eye colors, and the like.
