COMPOSITE PARTICLES, METHOD OF PRODUCING COMPOSITE PARTICLES AND DRY POWDER OF COMPOSITE PARTICLES, SKIN APPLICATION COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SKIN APPLICATION COMPOSITION
Composite particles that are biodegradable and easy to handle while maintaining the characteristics of cellulose nanofibers, a method of producing composite particles, a dry powder containing the composite particles, and a skin application composition and a method of producing the skin application composition. A composite particle contains at least one type of particle and fine cellulose with which at least part of a surface of the particle is coated, wherein the particle and the fine cellulose are inseparable.
ULTRAVIOLET-ABSORPTIVE NANOPARTICLES AND MICROPARTICLES FOR INTRADERMAL USE
Biocompatible UV-absorbing nanoparticles or microparticles that can be embedded in the skin using techniques such as those used to create a tattoo with tattoo ink. The “tattoo” using the biocompatible UV-absorbing nanoparticles or microparticles provides skin protection against sunburn, photoaging, and skin cancers in a permanent or semi-permanent way, but remain clear in the visible light spectrum, or matched closely to the user's specific skin tone. These particles can be solid uniform UV-absorbers, microencapsulated UV-absorbers, or UV-absorbing material embedded in or coated on solid materials. Long-term sun protection from an invisible (does not change the color of the skin) material, embedded in the skin (dermis layer).
USE OF COLLAGEN BINDING DOMAINS TO DELIVER PRODUCTS TO SKIN
The present invention addresses the need for an improved delivery system that is able to specifically target the skin for improved bioavailability and minimization of side effects resulting from administration of the active ingredient or ingredients. One aspect of the present invention is a targeting composition comprising: (1) a skin care agent or an agent that is a cosmeceutical agent; (2) an intermediate release linker bound to the skin care agent or cosmeceutical agent; (3) a targeting moiety bound to the intermediate release linker, the targeting moiety for binding the targeting composition to native collagen fibers; and (4) optionally, a carrier component to enhance delivery to the skin. The present invention also describes methods of use of these targeting compositions.
Articles of Manufacture with Polyurea Capsules Cross-linked with Chitosan
Novel articles of manufacture are described based on a combination of an adjunct material and microcapsules made by an improved process. The improved microcapsules are chitosan urea and encapsulate a benefit agent. The process comprises combining an adjunct material formed of microcapsules formed by a water phase comprising hydrolyzing chitosan in an acidic medium at a pH of 6.5 or less for an extended period and combining with a polyisocyanate. The reaction product of the hydrolyzed chitosan and polyisocyanate yields a microcapsule having improved release characteristics, with enhanced degradation characteristics in OECD test method 301B.
RESIN COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A MACROMOLECULE CROSSLINKED WITH POLYAMIDE EPICHLOROHYDRIN, CONTROLLED RELEASE PARTICLES AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SAME, AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Disclosed is a resin composition including a macromolecule crosslinked with polyamide epichlorohydrin, wherein the macromolecule is a polypeptide, a protein, a polysaccharide, an oligosaccharide, a polyphenol and/or a lipid. Further disclosed is a controlled release composition having a plurality of particles including: a core having at least one hydrophobic active ingredient and the resin composition; and a shell at least partially surrounding the core and effective to inhibit diffusion of the at least one hydrophobic active ingredient into an environment surrounding the controlled release composition. The controlled release composition is preferably a consumer product. A method for preparing the compositions is also disclosed.
CELLULOSIC PARTICLE
A cellulosic particle contains cellulose as its base constituent, and the 5-day and 60-day percentage biodegradations of the cellulosic particle measured as per JIS K6950:2000 are lower than 20% and 60% or higher, respectively.
Process for the elongation and/or densification of fibers
The present invention relates to a process for the elongation and/or densification of fibers, on a keratin material, characterized in that it employs a composition, especially a cosmetic composition, in particular a makeup composition, comprising at least: —one volatile hydrocarbon-based oil, —particles of at least one polymer surface-stabilized with a stabilizer, and —a hydrophobic film-forming polymer, chosen from hydrocarbon-based block copolymers, hydrocarbon-based resins, and mixtures thereof.
Silica-including microcapsule resin particles, method for producing same, and application thereof
Silica-including microcapsule resin particles including an outer shell constituted of a crosslinked polymer and a cavity partitioned with the outer shell, in which the silica-including microcapsule resin particles contain inside the cavity a porous structure in which silica particles are mutually connected, and have a volume average particle diameter of 0.5 to 100 μm.
AQUEOUS COSMETIC
An aqueous cosmetic comprising: at least one nature-derived polysaccharide comprising as constituent monosaccharides, glucuronic acid and one cyclic form of an aldohexose, a particulate copolymer, the particulate copolymer obtained from at least two monomer units selected from the group consisting of a monomer comprising an ethylenic unsaturated group and a benzene skeleton and a monomer comprising a (meth)acryloyl group; an anionic surfactant; and from 50 to 95 wt % of water of the weight of aqueous cosmetic.
BIOADHESIVE PARTICLES COMPRISING ACTIVE AGENTS, AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a set of particles comprising at least one bioadhesive particle of formula (I):
{A-[(B).sub.n-C].sub.m}.X (I),
