An autoclave including a Faraday cage, which when placed in a microwave oven sterilizes N95 masks or any other metal surgical devices through pressurized steam. The Faraday cage prevents metal inside the cage from arching when inside the microwave oven. Pressure build up occurs inside a container, which includes an umbrella valve. The container encloses the Faraday cage, which is adjustable to fit many sized objects.

A method and apparatus for pasteurizing and drying cannabis plant materials using a microwave-vacuum chamber. The pasteurizing and drying are carried out with no use of ionizing radiation and with rapid drying. Pasteurization is done at a temperature and for a time period that are sufficient to reduce microorganisms to an acceptably low level, while not significantly reducing the psychoactive compounds in the material. In the process, the pressure inside a vacuum chamber is reduced to a first pressure less than atmospheric. The material is maintained in the vacuum chamber at the first pressure at a pasteurizing temperature while irradiating the material with microwave radiation. The pressure is then reduced to a second pressure lower than the first pressure and the material is maintained in the vacuum chamber at the second pressure for a time period at a dehydrating temperature lower than the pasteurizing temperature while irradiating the material with microwave radiation. The pasteurizing and dehydrating steps can be done in the reverse order.

The disclosure relates to a sterilization apparatus which uses thermal or non-thermal plasma to disinfect surgical scoping devices such as endoscopes, gastroscopes, laparoscopes and the like. Aspect of the disclosure provide: (i) an apparatus for sterilizing inside an instrument channel formed with an insertion tube of a surgical scoping device, (ii) a whole-device sterilization apparatus for treating the entire exterior surface of a surgical scoping device, and (iii) an apparatus for cleaning and sterilizing a distal end face of an insertion tube of a surgical scoping device.

A system for sterilizing and/or deimmunizing an object includes a stationary chamber at ambient pressure configured to store an object to be sterilized and/or deimmunized therein. An electromagnetic device is coupled to the chamber and configured to direct microwaves at the object. A solvent spray subsystem is coupled to the chamber and configured to apply a solvent to the object such that the object is completely coated and/or saturated with the solvent. A controller subsystem coupled to the electromagnetic device and the solvent spray subsystem is configured to provide a cycle of activating the solvent spray subsystem for a predetermined amount of time, activating the electromagnetic device for a predetermined amount of time, and repeating the cycle a predetermined amount of times to irreversibly destroy proteins on the object to sterilize and/or deimmunize the object.

The invention relates to a package (10) containing a cosmetic product (12), the package comprising a basic body (14), a neck (18) and a closure member or product dispensing member (20) mounted on the neck (18), so as to form an internal volume (16) containing the cosmetic product. According to the invention, the package resists an increase in pressure of at least 0.245 bar within the internal volume (16) together with a rise in the temperature of the product to above 85 C., in particular between 85 C. and 150 C.

A device for inactivating an object, includes an electromagnetic wave generator configured to generate an electromagnetic wave having a resonant frequency of the object, and an antenna unit electrically connected to the electromagnetic wave generator and configured to omni-directionally transmit the electromagnetic wave to inactivate the object.
