ANTI-ACANTHAMOEBA CONTACT LENS SOLUTION
The objective of the present invention is to provide a contact lens solution that is safer to eyes such that it has little or no effects on eye tissue and has the versatility that makes the solution applicable to a wide range of contact lenses, while exhibiting desirable anti-Acanthamoeba activity. The objective is achieved by the anti-Acanthamoeba contact lens solution containing a cationic polymer having an average molecular weight in a range of 150,000 to 1,600,000 and having in its molecule a diallyldimethylammonium chloride unit and an inorganic salt.
CONTACT LENS TREATING SOLUTION
A contact lens treating solution includes (a) one or more of tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane, bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino-tris(hydroxymethyl)methane and a salt thereof; and (b) one or more antimicrobial agents comprising one or more polyquaternium polymers.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR MULTIPURPOSE DISINFECTION AND STERILIZATION SOLUTIONS
The present disclosure discloses compositions and methods for multipurpose disinfection and sterilization solutions broadly effective against multiple microbial pathogens. The present disclosure demonstrates broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against environmental and pathogenic amoeba, bacterial spores, vegetative bacteria, fungi, rickettsia, viruses, parasites and toxic microbial products. The multipurpose disinfection solutions of the present disclosure may be used alone or in combination for a variety of purposes, including disinfection of medical devices such as contact lenses, contact lens cases, surgical instruments, and dental instruments.
CONTACT LENS COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The invention provides contact lens storage, cleaning and treatment compositions comprising nonionic surfactants. The invention further provides methods for treating enhancing contact lens wear time and comfort, reducing contact lens deposits and treating dry eye via contact lenses.
OPHTHALMIC AND CONTACT LENS SOLUTIONS CONTAINING SIMPLE SACCHARIDES AS PRESERVATIVE ENHANCERS
The present invention relates to an ophthalmic solution comprising 0.00001 to 10.0 weight percent of a simple saccharide, at least 0.00001 weight percent of a preservative, and not more than about 0.2 percent by weight chloride. The simple saccharide is chosen from the group consisting of: inositol; mannitol; sorbitol; sucrose; dextrose; glycerin; propylene glycol; ribose; triose; tetrose; erythrose; threose; pentose; arabinose; ribulose; xylose; xylulose; lyxose; hexose; allose; altrose; fructose; galactose; glucose; gulose; idose; mannose; sorbose; talose; tagatose; adlose; ketose; heptose; sedoheptulose; monosaccharides; disaccharides; sugar alcohols; xylitol; and polyol.
OPHTHALMIC SOLUTIONS
An ophthalmically compatible solution includes (a) about 0.005 to about 2 wt. %, based on the total weight of the ophthalmically compatible solution, of hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof; (b) about 0.01 to about 1 wt. %, based on the total weight of the ophthalmically compatible solution, of erythritol; (c) sodium chloride, potassium chloride or any combination thereof; and (d) one or more buffers.

OPHTHALMIC AND CONTACT LENS SOLUTIONS USING BICINE
The present invention relates to a lens care solution having 0.001 to about 5 weight percent of a low molecular weight amine of the general formula:
##STR00001##
where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are H or low molecular weight radicals, and R.sub.5 is a low molecular weight radical, or salt thereof; an effective amount of a tonicity agent; and the balance water.
OPHTHALMIC CONTACT LENS SOLUTIONS CONTAINING FORMS OF VITAMIN B
The present invention relates to improved ophthalmic solutions that employ select B vitamins; pyridoxine and its salts; and thiamine and its salts in order to more effectively preserve solutions and to reduce the degree to which cationic preservatives will deposit on contact lenses. Ophthalmic solutions are here understood to include contact lens treatment solutions, such as cleaners, soaking solutions, conditioning solutions and lens storage solutions, as well as wetting solutions and in-eye solutions for treatment of eye conditions.
