WOUND CARE DEVICE HAVING FLUID TRANSFER AND ADHESIVE PROPERTIES
This disclosure relates to a wound care device which contains capillary force one-way pumps that are capable of transporting fluid, such as wound exudate, away from a wound site to the opposite side of the wound care device, which functions as a segregated fluid reservoir. This fluid transport mechanism generally aids in reducing wound maceration by removing excess wound fluid and the protease enzymes and infectious bacteria contained within the wound fluid. The wound care device performs this function, often times for multiple days, without the loss of the physical integrity of the wound care device. In addition to providing a uni-directional fluid transport mechanism, the wound care device contains a perforated adhesive layer.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION FOR MAKING WATERPROOF BREATHABLE ARTICLES
The invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising at least one silyl polymer comprising at least one hydrolyzable alkoxysilane group; at least one polyvinyl ether compound; and at least one curing catalyst, and also to the use of said composition as an adhesive and also to self-adhesive articles comprising at least one support layer and at least one layer of said composition.

Method for improving creep performance in elastic applications
A method and system of using a polyolefin-based, hot melt adhesive improves creep performance of elastic strands adhered to another substrate. Some deflection, greater than 1°, of the exit angle formed by a line normal to the axis of a neutrally-positioned applicator and the elastic strand extending from the applicator is introduced. Preferably, deflection of the entrance angle is also introduced and a head tilt angle is also provided. The use of deflection improves creep performance or allows for a reduced amount of adhesive to be used to achieve the same or similar creep performance. The elastic strands may be used to form a leg cuff in personal care products, such as diapers, and the substrate to which they are applied could be a polyethylene film or non-woven materials.
Composition I-II and products and uses thereof
A curable composition apportioned between at least one Part A and at least one Part B, the Parts sealed within barrier means preventing contamination, the at least one Part A comprising: (i) one or more alkenyl-group containing prepolymers having at least one alkenyl group or moiety per molecule, and the at least one Part B comprising: (ii) one or more SiH-containing prepolymers having at least one Si—H unit per molecule; the composition additionally comprising: (iii) a catalyst for curing by addition of alkenyl-containing prepolymer (i) to SiH-containing prepolymer (ii), wherein prepolymer (ii) is substantially absent from Part A and prepolymer (i) is substantially absent from Part B, methods for preparing the composition, methods for sterilisation thereof, medical and non-medical use thereof, a device incorporating the composition, and a precursor therefor including its sterilisable precursor composition, in particular a terminally sterilisable or terminally sterile composition for medical use, particularly in wound therapy, more particularly as a wound packing material which can be shaped and configured to the shape of a wound, most particularly for application in negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
Processes for making low volatile tackifier compositions
A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.

TACKIFIED HOTMELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
A hotmelt composition comprising, a low molecular weight metallocene-catalyzed polymer, a high molecular weight polymer, an amorphous polyolefin and a tackifier. The hotmelt composition is particularly useful in absorbent articles such as diapers. The hotmelt composition provides especially good nonwoven-film bonds but can also be used for nonwoven-nonwoven bonds.
