20190063663 · 2019-02-28 ·

A pig trap of this disclosure may include one or more injectors or nozzles located along a sidewall of the barrel and oriented to deliver a jet of fluid toward a back side of a vertical member of a pig or tool. The nozzle may be part of an assembly that includes a longitudinally extending pipe having a flat-profile flange at an inlet end, a curved-profile flange at the nozzle end, and a bend in between the two ends. When the assembly is installed in a sidewall opening of a pig trap, the nozzle delivers a jet of fluid toward the back side of a vertical member of the pig. A leak path may be provided through flanges or formed between the sidewall opening and a periphery of the curved-profile flange. Launch forces of more than 10 to 15 times that of a conventional launcher may be achieved.

Pig receiver assembly

A pig receiver and method to retrieve pigs in pipeline pigging operations. In one embodiment, a pig receiver includes a pressure equalization system including a gate valve, wherein a first side of the gate valve is coupled to a downstream pressure connection, and wherein a second side of the gate valve is coupled to an upstream pressure connection. The pressure equalization system also includes a pressure equalization valve disposed between the downstream pressure connection and the upstream pressure connection. The pressure equalization system also includes a pig receiver unit, wherein a first side of the pig receiver unit is coupled to the downstream pressure connection downstream of the gate valve, and wherein a second side of the pig receiver unit is coupled to the upstream pressure connection upstream of the gate valve.

Pipeline hydrate inhibitor and method of reducing hydrates using the hydrate inhibitor

Compositions and methods for reducing the formation of hydrates within subsea or over-land pipeline systems. The compositions and methods include the use of organic salt solutions, such as an acetate salt solution, to precondition, treat, and/or dewater the pipeline systems, or employ the use of the organic salt solutions during other pre-commissioning operations. An effective concentration of an organic salt solution acts to reduce hydrates and/or inhibit hydrate formation within the pipeline systems.

Valve guide reamer for engines method and device
09878354 · 2018-01-30 · ·

Cleaning reamer devices and methods for cleaning the interior of a valve guide are described. One cleaning reamer includes a straight shank, a body, and a piloted portion. The piloted portion is dimensionally sized and shaped to be substantially equivalent to the valve stem that is positioned within the valve guide to be cleared of deposits. The body of the cleaning reamer is fluted or straight.

Self-cleaning tank

A tank, such as a fermentation tank, includes a scraper blade assembly slideably coupled to a bottom surface of the tank. The scraper blade assembly includes a blade arranged to displace solids deposited on the bottom surface of the tank out through an aperture arranged flush with the bottom surface of the tank.

Gate valve with track cleanout

Methods, systems, and apparatus for a gate valve include a valve body having an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface and the outer surface defining an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid path therebetween, a track defined in the inner surface, the track defining a bottom surface; a gate having a wing; a scraper having a leading edge, the scraper mounted to the wing of the gate; a biasing element, the biasing element biasing the leading edge of the scraper against the bottom surface of the track.

Pig receiver assembly

A pig receiver and method retrieve pigs in pipeline pigging operations. In one embodiment, a pig receiver includes a pig receiver unit. The pig receiver also includes a pig gate valve assembly disposed on the pig receiving unit. The pig gate valve assembly includes a gate valve. The pig gate valve assembly also includes a first actuator and a second actuator. The pig gate valve assembly further includes a cylinder guide. In addition, the pig gate valve assembly includes a tie bar. Actuation of the tie bar actuates the gate valve. An end of the tie bar is attached to the first actuator, and an opposing end of the tie bar is attached to the second actuator. The pig receiver also includes a system for removing contaminants from the pig receiver.

Scraper receiver with filter upstream of a kicker valve

A scraper receiver system includes a mainstream line of a pipeline for transporting a working fluid therethrough. A bypass line includes an inlet and an outlet fluidly coupled to mainstream line and a scraper (PIG) receiver is coupled within the bypass line to receive a scraper therein. At least one kicker valve is coupled within the bypass line downstream of the scraper receiver and a filter apparatus is coupled within the bypass line upstream of the kicker valve. The filter apparatus is operable to remove sludge and solid particles from the working fluid to prevent the sludge and solid particles from being carried to the at least one kicker valve.
