MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY FOR A PERITONEAL DIALYSIS APPARATUS AND PERITONEAL DIALYSIS APPARATUS COMPRISING SAID MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY
A manifold assembly for a peritoneal dialysis apparatus, comprises: a casing delimiting internally a first compartment and a second compartment; a yielding pump tube having a first end connected or connectable to the first compartment and a second end connected or connectable to the second compartment. The yielding pump tube extends outside the casing to be coupled to a peristaltic pump of a cycler of a peritoneal dialysis apparatus. A first pump port and a second pump port are placed on a first side of the casing and ports are placed on a second side of the casing, opposite the first side.
The yielding pump tubes extends outside the casing to be coupled to a peristaltic pump of a cycler of a peritoneal dialysis apparatus. The second compartment delimits expansion chambers configured to attenuate pressure pulsations from the peristaltic pump.
METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A PERISTALTIC PUMP IN A MEDICAL APPARATUS AND MEDICAL APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THIS METHOD
A method for calibrating a peristaltic pump in a medical apparatus comprises: rotating the peristaltic pump of a predetermined rotation to pump a liquid from a fluid source from a first compartment into a second compartment of a manifold assembly, raising a level of the liquid in the second compartment and compressing air in an air buffer volume of the manifold assembly; measuring a pressure of air in the air buffer volume; calculating, from the measured pressure, a variation of liquid volume in the second compartment due to the rotation of the peristaltic pump; calculating, from the variation of liquid volume and the predetermined rotation, a stroke liquid volume of the peristaltic pump.
Medicament preparation and treatment devices, methods, and systems
A medicament preparation system, according to an embodiment, includes a water purification module and a medicament proportioning module. The system is configured to allow convenient and safe use in a home environment or a critical care environment as well as others affording safety, reliability, and a compact form factor.
Dialysis machine
A disposable cartridge for use in a hemodialysis machine has a blood flow path for carrying a volume of blood to be treated in a dialyser and a dialysate flow path, isolated from the blood flow path, for delivering a flow of dialysate solution through the dialyser. The cartridge is received in an engine section of the machine. The engine section has first and second platens which close when the cartridge is inserted to retain the cartridge. Actuators and sensors arranged on the second platen control operation of the cartridge.
Systems and methods for priming hemodialysis using multiple fluid sources
A hemodialysis system configured to purge air from a blood circuit comprising: a dialyzer; a dialysis fluid circuit operable with the dialyzer via dialysis fluid inlet and outlet lines; the blood circuit operable with the dialyzer and including an arterial line, a venous line, a blood pump operable with the arterial line upstream of the dialyzer, and a physiologically acceptable fluid source in fluid communication with the arterial line upstream of the blood pump; and an air purging scheme wherein, with the dialysis fluid inlet and outlet lines connected to the dialyzer, air is purged using dialysis fluid or other physiologically acceptable fluid pumped by at least one of the fresh or used dialysis fluid pumps from the dialysis fluid circuit, through the dialyzer, into the blood circuit, in combination with dialysis fluid or other physiologically acceptable fluid from the source introduced directly into the blood circuit.
Method for querying a specification feature of a medical technical functional means, a medical technical functional means, a medical device and a control unit
The present invention relates to a method for querying a specification feature arranged in, at or on a medical technical functional means, the method comprising the step of: querying the specification feature by means of a medical device functionally coupled to or to be coupled to the medical technical functional means or by means of a device or means connected to or being arranged in signal transmission with the medical technical treatment apparatus. The invention further relates to a medical technical functional means, a medical device and a control unit. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a digital storage medium, a computer program product and a computer program.
Medicament preparation and treatment devices, methods, and systems
A medicament preparation system includes a water purification module and a medicament proportioning module that is interoperable with a replaceable fluid circuit. The fluid circuit includes a purified water inlet, a product medicament outlet, and a plurality of pumping tube segments. At least a first concentrate container is connected by at least a portion of the fluid circuit to the product medicament output and a first concentration measurement sensor station is positioned in a flow path. A controller is programmed to calculate iteratively a concentration of a first concentrate from the first concentrate container and the purified water from a signal generated by the first concentration measurement sensor station and to regulate one or both of a first pumping actuator engaged with the first pumping tube segment and a second pumping actuator engaged with the second pumping tube segment, responsively to the concentration of the first concentrate and water.
