Medicament Preparation and Treatment Devices, Methods, and Systems
A medicament preparation system includes a water purification module and a medicament proportioning module that is interoperable with a replaceable fluid circuit. The fluid circuit includes a purified water inlet, a product medicament outlet, and a plurality of pumping tube segments. At least a first concentrate container is connected by at least a portion of the fluid circuit to the product medicament output and a first concentration measurement sensor station is positioned in a flow path. A controller is programmed to calculate iteratively a concentration of a first concentrate from the first concentrate container and the purified water from a signal generated by the first concentration measurement sensor station and to regulate one or both of a first pumping actuator engaged with the first pumping tube segment and a second pumping actuator engaged with the second pumping tube segment, responsively to the concentration of the first concentrate and water.
Renal therapy system with cassette-based blood and dialysate pumping
A renal therapy system with cassette-based blood and dialysate pumping is disclosed. An example system includes a blood pump actuator, a dialysis fluid pump actuator, a dialysis fluid heater, a dialyzer, and a disposable unit. The example disposable unit includes a blood cassette portion configured to be operatively connected to the blood pump actuator to pump blood through the blood cassette portion. The example disposable unit also includes a dialysis fluid cassette portion, separate from the blood cassette portion, configured to be operatively connected to the dialysis fluid pump actuator to pump dialysis fluid through the dialysis fluid cassette portion. The blood cassette portion and the dialysis fluid cassette portion are both in fluid communication with the dialyzer. The example disposable unit also includes a heater bag configured to be placed in operable communication with the dialysis fluid heater and in fluid communication with the dialysis fluid cassette portion.
Peritoneal dialysis system including manifold assembly and peristaltic pump
A peritoneal dialysis (PD) system includes a cycler including an actuation surface having a peristaltic pump actuator; at least one pair of capacitive sensing plates; a manifold assembly including a rigid manifold having at least one chamber, the rigid manifold configured and arranged to be abutted against the actuation surface for operation, wherein the at least one pair of capacitive sensing plates is positioned to be operable with the at least one chamber; a peristaltic pump tube; and a control unit configured to actuate the peristaltic pump actuator to pump dialysis fluid to the at least one chamber, receive a signal from the at least one pair of capacitive sensing plates, count a number of revolutions of the peristaltic pump actuator, determine a current volume per revolution for the peristaltic pump actuator, and use the current volume per revolution for a subsequent operation of the peristaltic pump actuator.
Disposable apparatus and kit for conducting dialysis
An extracorporeal blood processing system comprises a plastic molded compact manifold that supports a plurality of molded blood and dialysate fluidic pathways along with a plurality of relevant sensors, valves and pumps. A disposable dialyzer is connected to the molded manifold to complete the blood circuit of the system. The compact manifold is also disposable in one embodiment and can be detachably installed in the dialysis machine.
CASSETTE SYSTEM INTEGRATED APPARATUS
A cassette integrated system. The cassette integrated system includes a mixing cassette, a balancing cassette, a middle cassette fluidly connected to the mixing cassette and the balancing cassette and at least one pod. The mixing cassette is fluidly connected to the middle cassette by at least one fluid line and the middle cassette is fluidly connected to the balancing cassette by at least one fluid line. The at least one pod is connected to at least two of the cassettes wherein the pod is located in an area between the cassettes.
RENAL THERAPY SYSTEM WITH CASSETTE-BASED BLOOD AND DIALYSATE PUMPING
A renal therapy system with cassette-based blood and dialysate pumping is disclosed. An example system includes a blood pump actuator, a dialysis fluid pump actuator, a dialysis fluid heater, a dialyzer, and a disposable unit. The example disposable unit includes a blood cassette portion configured to be operatively connected to the blood pump actuator to pump blood through the blood cassette portion. The example disposable unit also includes a dialysis fluid cassette portion, separate from the blood cassette portion, configured to be operatively connected to the dialysis fluid pump actuator to pump dialysis fluid through the dialysis fluid cassette portion. The blood cassette portion and the dialysis fluid cassette portion are both in fluid communication with the dialyzer. The example disposable unit also includes a heater bag configured to be placed in operable communication with the dialysis fluid heater and in fluid communication with the dialysis fluid cassette portion.
DIALYSIS MACHINE
A disposable cartridge for use in a hemodialysis machine has a blood flow path for carrying a volume of blood to be treated in a dialyser and a dialysate flow path, isolated from the blood flow path, for delivering a flow of dialysate solution through the dialyser. The cartridge is received in an engine section of the machine. The engine section has first and second platens which close when the cartridge is inserted to retain the cartridge. Actuators and sensors arranged on the second platen control operation of the cartridge.
DIALYSIS DEVICE AND METHOD OF DIALYSIS
The present disclosure relates to dialysis devices. In some embodiments, a dialysis device may include a disposable housing having a storage chamber in fluid communication with a dialysate flow path. Also included may be a controller, an interface capable of operably coupling the controller and the disposable housing, a fluid displacement structure, a pump configured to actuate a deformable diaphragm, and a pressure sensor to trigger the reversal of the pump. The flow path may be fluidly sealed from the controller and the interface.
DIALYSIS PATIENT CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR PRIMING
A patient connector for dialysis is disclosed. In an example, a patient connector includes a housing including an inlet and an outlet and defining at least one aperture. The patient connector also includes a seal initially blocking the outlet and a hydrophobic filter covering the at least one aperture of the housing. The patient connector further includes a check valve positioned and arranged to prevent air from being vented from the housing via the at least one aperture and through the hydrophobic filter when the housing is under atmospheric pressure or negative pressure. The check valve is configured to allow air to be vented from the housing via the at least one aperture and through the hydrophobic filter when the housing is under positive pressure.

A medical functional device, provided and designed for single use in a method for extracorporeally treating the blood of a patient, includes at least one process fluid circuit or sections thereof, each provided for receiving a process fluid, at least one first filter device arranged within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof and at least one second filter device arranged within the process fluid circuit or a section thereof. The present invention further relates to a process fluid and a medical treatment apparatus.
