A configurable bag is provided. The configurable bag has plurality of various interconnecting storage compartments (or “modules”). The interconnecting storage compartments may be selectively used to store various objects such as, for example, shoes, clean clothes, dirty clothes, toiletries, etc. The interconnecting storage compartments may be selectively secured vertically to each other so as to be able to be easily fit within, for example, a standard vertical gym locker. Retractable hooks may be secured to the sides of the interconnecting storage compartments so as to allow the assembled device to hang vertically from a hanger poll. The storage compartments may allow for both front and top access into the interior of the device.

The present disclosure relates to an improved Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system that employs hard-shells and a method of making thereof. The disclosed hard-shell MOLLE system not only provides better durability for the MOLLE system, but also allows the MOLLE system to apply on hard objects such as thermoformed/molded backpacks, bags, vehicle panels and containers etc.

The article of luggage further comprises a primary zip fastening comprising first and second zip tapes mutually connectable and disconnectable via a zip fastening slider, wherein the first zip tape is stitched to the lid around a perimeter of the lid opening and the second zip tape is stitched to the body around a perimeter of the body opening. The article of luggage further comprises: a hinge between the body and the lid to enable movement of the lid relative to the body between: an open position in which the body and lid containment volumes are accessible through the body and lid openings; and a closed position in which the body and the lid openings cooperate to enable fastening of the first zip tape to the second zip tape whereby the body and lid containment portions are enclosed. The article of luggage further comprises: a fabric panel mounted on an exterior of the lid and stitched to the first zip tape, the fabric panel comprising a pocket having a pocket opening. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing an article of luggage.
