Cylinder head arrangement for variable valve actuation rocker arm assemblies
A novel cylinder head arrangement for an in-line four cylinder or eight cylinder engine. A modified arrangement allows additional space for installation of wider rocker arm assemblies used for variable valve lift (VVL), cylinder deactivation (CDA) and other types of variable valve actuation (VVA). In one embodiment, cam towers adjacent the end two cylinders are not used. At least one end support is used, which may be an outboard bearing on a camshaft for each end. The wider rocker assemblies may then be installed. In another embodiment, cam towers adjacent the inner two cylinders are eliminated and a single camshaft support piece with a support bearing is installed between the inner cylinders to provide support for the camshafts. The wider rocker assemblies may then be installed on at least one of the middle cylinders. A novel oil control valve operates latches in switching rocker arm assemblies.
Shut-off valve control device, shut-off valve control system, method for calculating shut-off valve control coefficient, and method for controlling shut-off valve
Provided are: a shut-off valve control device which is capable of reducing the difference between a set opening amount and the actual opening amount, when executing a partial valve stroke test; a shut-off valve control system; a method for calculating a shut-off valve control coefficient; and a method for controlling a shut-off valve. This shut-off valve control device is provided with a microcomputer for controlling the opening and closing of a solenoid valve which supplies air from an air supply source, to a cylinder of an air cylinder for controlling a valve shaft of a shut-off valve, and discharges said air. The microcomputer acquires a set opening amount of the shut-off valve. Furthermore, the microcomputer controls the solenoid valve to a value obtained by dividing the acquired set opening amount by a predetermined coefficient C.

APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING AND RECLAIMING ANAESTHETIC AGENTS AND FOR REMOVING NITROUS OXIDE FROM EXHAUST GASES
A system for collecting an anaesthetic agent, having at least one anaesthetic gas scavenging system (AGSS) for receiving exhaust gas from a plurality of sources, the exhaust gas including the anaesthetic agent to be collected, each AGSS comprising at least one power source for providing suction of the exhaust gas from the plurality of sources under negative pressure, and a central collection system for receiving the exhaust gas, the central collection system comprising at least one collector for collecting the anaesthetic agent from the exhaust gas, wherein the at least one collector is configured to adsorb the anaesthetic agent from the exhaust gas. The central collection system may be configured to received the exhaust gases from the at least one AGSS, with the central collection system being located downstream of the at least one AGSS.
Electrohydraulic normally-open ventable valve configured to operate in pressure relief mode when actuated
An example valve includes: (i) a pilot seat member comprising: (a) one or more channels fluidly coupled to a first port of the valve, (b) a pilot seat, and (c) a pilot sleeve portion comprising a pilot chamber and a cross-hole disposed in an exterior peripheral surface of the pilot sleeve portion; (ii) a pilot check member disposed in the pilot chamber and subjected to a biasing force of a setting spring disposed in the pilot chamber to seat the pilot check member at the pilot seat; and (iii) a solenoid actuator sleeve slidably accommodated about the exterior peripheral surface of the pilot sleeve portion of the pilot seat member, wherein the solenoid actuator sleeve includes a cross-hole disposed in an exterior peripheral surface of the solenoid actuator sleeve, wherein the cross-hole of the solenoid actuator sleeve is fluidly coupled to a second port of the valve.
Vacuum valve and valve control device
A vacuum valve for driving a valve body arranged facing a valve opening up and down relative to the valve opening to perform valve opening/closing operation, comprises: a first up-down driver configured to drive the valve body up and down with a first minimum drivable amount; and a second up-down driver configured to drive the valve body up and down with a second minimum drivable amount smaller than the first minimum drivable amount.
Fluid device
An electromagnetic valve as a fluid device is provided with a valve seat and a valve body midway of a flow path where a liquid flows, and closes the valve with the valve body pressed onto the valve seat and opens the valve by causing a gap between the valve seat and the valve body. The electromagnetic valve includes, as electrodes for measuring a degree of electrical conductivity between a liquid on an upstream side and a liquid on a downstream side of the valve seat and the valve body in the flow path, a first electrode electrically conductive to the liquid on the upstream side and a second electrode electrically conductive to the liquid on the downstream side. By using the first and second electrodes, detection of liquid leakage can be easily performed.
