A pressure equalization element for a housing, such as a lithium-ion accumulator, includes a membrane and at least two parallel non-return valves. The membrane is connected in series to the non-return valves, which are positioned opposite each other. The non-return valves are formed by two valve plates and a valve membrane. The plates define at least one outlet chamber and at least one inlet chamber which each have a respective entry opening and exit opening. The membrane is positioned between the plates and includes at least two valve dampers, the entry openings of the inlet and outlet chambers sealed by a respective damper. Pressure equalization elements of this type can thus be cost-effectively and logically implemented via few components, while avoiding loose components. Such elements can be included in, for example, a housing, battery cell module, or motor vehicle.

The present disclosure relates to a bidirectional valve design that provides for more rapid deflations/evacuation of fluid flow and in one example includes a valve body, a spindle piston movably coupled in a bore of the valve body and an electronically controllable motor that moves the spindle valve between a fluid evacuation position and a fluid fill position. In one example, the spindle piston includes piston structures on ends of a threaded rod. In another example, a mattress system is disclosed that employs the valve and a fluid source to provide quick evacuation of air from a patient support. In another example, the valve is coupled to an alternating pressure block valve which is then coupled to a patient support.

A valve includes a valve disc that partitions one chamber and another chamber. The valve disc includes annular bosses and seats at each of the one chamber side and the other chamber side, and an auxiliary seat at the other chamber side. The boss is formed to support leaf valves. The seats are formed on outer peripheral sides of the respective bosses. At least one of the seats is disposed to project with respect to the boss of the corresponding chamber side. An outer peripheral end of the seat on the one chamber side is disposed on an outer peripheral side with respect to an outer peripheral end of the seat on the other chamber side. The auxiliary seat is formed on an outer peripheral side of the seat, and have a height equal to or greater than that of the seat on the other chamber side.

Portable pressurized sprayer

A tank holding a quantity of liquid releasably connects to an electric pump module through a connector to provide a portable sprayer. The tank connects to a feed line that supplies spray nozzle with the liquid. The connector combines a quick disconnect connector with a pressure relief valve. The electric pump module includes an electric pump, a switch assembly, and a check valve. The electric pump module directs gas through the check valve into the connector to increase the gas pressure in the tank and force the liquid in the tank to flow through the feed line and out the spray nozzle. The switch assembly turns off the electric pump when the gas pressure in the tank exceeds a predetermined limit while maintaining the flow of liquid through the spray nozzle.
