A valve apparatus for connection to a tank or pipe, the valve apparatus comprises a housing [12], a first opening [176a] and a second opening [177a] communicating with respective first conduit and second conduit each for providing ingress and egress of fluid into and out of the housing through the first opening [176a] and the second opening [177a], and discrete first and second valve means or valves [14; 15] which are spaced apart from one another, the first and second valve means or valves [14; 15] selectively controlling fluid flow between the first and second conduits [16; 17], wherein, in use, the principal flow axes along the first conduit and second conduit are parallel and opposed, the first valve means or valve is configured to open when the pressure in the first conduit is greater than a first pressure and the second valve means or valve [14; 15] is configured to open when the pressure in the first conduit is less than the first pressure.

A valve assembly for a reciprocating gas compressor includes a seat, a guard plate attached to the seat, elements, and springs is presented. The seat defines inlet openings, each inlet opening extends through the seat along a central longitudinal axis of each inlet opening. The guard plate defines element bores, each element bore aligning with one of the inlet openings along the central longitudinal axis. Each element includes a first end with a first recessed surface and a second end with a second recessed surface, the first end and the second end cooperating to define a cylindrical shape therebetween, and an extension protruding outward from the outer diameter of the element. Each element is positioned within one of the element bores and movable between an open position in which the element contacts the guard plate and a closed position in which the element contacts the seat.

ASPIRATOR SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF MECHANISM

A flapper assembly for an aspirator system includes a flapper plate and a valve assembly. The flapper plate defines a first plurality of apertures. The valve assembly includes a first valve plate disposed over the first plurality of apertures and a first pressure relief assembly arranged to move the first valve plate relative to the flapper plate.

Connector for transferring fluid and method of use

A connector for transferring fluid and method therefor. The connector may have a first port and a second port which may be coupled together at a main channel with a valve element therein controlling fluid flow through the first port. The first port joins the main channel to provide a fluid path around the valve element and through the second port.

CHECK VALVE
20190257470 · 2019-08-22 · ·

A check valve supplies fluid to a system and includes a fluid barrier protects the sealing elements and surfaces of the check valve preventing degradation from any backflow of gas and debris from the system to which fluid is supplied.

Eccentric backflow preventer

A backflow prevention device includes a main pipe body extending along a first center longitudinal axis, at least one check valve disposed within the main pipe body, an inlet pipe connected to an inlet side of the main pipe body, and an outlet pipe connected to an outlet side of the main pipe body. The inlet pipe and the outlet pipe extend along a second center longitudinal axis. The first center longitudinal axis is offset with respect to the second center longitudinal axis in a direction perpendicular to the first and second center longitudinal axes. A center of the valve seat of the at least one check valve is offset with respect to the second center longitudinal axis in the direction perpendicular to the first and second longitudinal axes.

Dispensing systems

A system for limiting the flow from a dispensing valve when a dispensing cartridge is replaced with the system including a dispenser cartridge with a cam and a water socket with a flow limiter therein that is activeable in response to the position of the dispenser cartridge in the dispensing valve and operable in response to an upstream fluid pressure in the dispensing valve.

CHECK VALVES

A check valve including a valve housing defining a pair of valve openings; a pair of flappers pivotably mounted for rotation relative to the housing between an open position in which they permit fluid flow through the respective valve openings and a closed position in which they prevent fluid flow through the valve openings; and a stop element arranged such that the flappers will contact the stop element in their open positions. Each flapper includes a primary flapper element pivotally mounted to a hinge pin that extends across the valve, and a secondary flapper element. The primary flapper element further includes at least one flapper opening formed therethrough. The secondary flapper element is pivotally mounted such that it may rotate relative to the primary flapper element for opening and closing the at least one flapper opening in the primary flapper element.

Dual check backflow preventer

A backflow preventer that includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet adapted to be mounted in a liquid flow configuration in a liquid supply circuit. An upstream check disc assembly is positioned in the housing downstream of the inlet, and includes an upstream check plate supporting a downstream diaphragm. An upstream check disc is positioned downstream of the diaphragm and integrally formed with an upstream stem mounted in an aperture in a central hub formed in the check plate for movement between an normally open, flow position and a closed position preventing backflow of liquid through the inlet. A downstream check disc assembly is positioned in the housing downstream from the upstream check disc assembly. A vent discharges liquid to atmosphere upstream of the downstream check disc assembly.

VENTILATION FLOW RATE REGULATOR FOR A PRESSURISED TANK OF A VEHICLE

A ventilation flow rate regulator for a pressurised tank of a vehicle. The regulator includes a body including a gas inlet and a gas outlet, and at least one restrictor mounted movably relative to the body. The restrictor is mounted to reduce a cross-section of at least one path of a gas flow proceeding from the inlet to the outlet, when a flow rate at the inlet is greater than a predetermined threshold. The regulator is arranged so that the cross-section remains non-zero irrespective of a flow rate.
