Non chattering pressure relief valve

A pressure relief valve includes a valve body having an inlet and an outlet and defining a first fluid path fluidly connecting the inlet and the outlet of the valve; a valve member axially moveable between a first position and a second position, the valve member configured to close the fluid path in the first position and thereby restrict flow between the inlet and the outlet, the valve member configured to open the fluid path in the second position and thereby allow flow between the inlet and the outlet; a biasing element configured to bias the valve member in the first position; and a friction element resiliently biased laterally against an axially extending surface of the valve member to provide frictional resistance to movement of the valve member and thereby cause hysteresis in axial movement of the valve member between the first position and the second position.

Self-regulating surplussing check valve

A check valve assembly (100, 200) is provided for subsea applications. The check valve assembly comprises a housing (102, 202), having an inlet port (106, 206) and an outlet port (108, 208) forming an internal fluid passageway through the housing; a valve member (112, 212), moveable within the internal fluid passageway between a first position, where fluid flow through the internal fluid passageway is prevented, and a second position, where fluid flow through the internal fluid passageway is permitted; a biasing member (110, 210), adapted to urge the valve member into the first position at a predetermined cracking force, and a pressure interface (116, 216). The pressure interface operatively links the valve member and an external fluid of a region exterior of the check valve assembly so as to provide a supplemental force, proportional to the ambient pressure of the external fluid, adapted to urge the valve member towards the first position.

A relief valve includes a first chamber with an inlet that includes an inlet valve seat and an outlet. A second chamber is spaced apart from the first chamber. A chamber wall is positioned between the first chamber and the second chamber. A closure member is movably positioned within the first chamber and is configured to be closable on the inlet valve seat. A first magnet is coupled to the closure member. The first magnet is movably positioned within the second chamber and is configured to generate a first magnetic field of a first polarity. A second magnet is positioned within the second chamber and is configured to generate a second magnetic field of a second polarity. The first magnetic field and the second magnet field interact to bias the closure member to rest on the inlet valve seat with a set force.

Bypass valve

A bypass valve (130) that regulates a flow of a fluid in a waste heat recovery system (100) is provided. The bypass valve (130) comprises a valve housing (220), an expander poppet (250) coupled to the valve housing (220) and adapted to prevent the flow of the fluid to an expander (140), and a valve stem (230) with at least a portion disposed in the valve housing (220) wherein the valve stem (230) is adapted to displace the expander poppet (250) to allow the fluid to flow to the expander (140), and regulate the flow of the fluid.

TWO EDUCTOR / FOUR-WAY SELECTOR VALVE ASSEMBLY
20180094734 · 2018-04-05 ·

A selector valve assembly for use in conjunction with an eductor dispensing system which reduces the incidence of product carry-over when the valve is moved from one position to another. The selector valve assembly also reduces the incidence of improper dispensing. In a preferred manner, the selector valve assembly has a single valve member and accommodates four product inlet lines for selectively passing chemical concentrate to two eductors. The selector valve assembly is composed of a minimum of ports, thereby reducing maintenance and cost.

Actuator for a water spray structure
09933087 · 2018-04-03 · ·

An actuator system for a fluid playground including a first elongated tubular member defining a first axially extending enclosure and having a first inlet connectable to a fluid source, and a second elongated tubular member positioned within the first tubular member, the second tubular member defining a second axially extending enclosure, and having a second inlet in fluid communication with the first enclosure and an outlet traversing the first tubular member. The outlet is connectable to at least one fluid playground device. A plug element is shaped to removably and sealably close the second inlet of the second tubular member. A resilient member urges the plug element towards sealing engagement with the second tubular member. A pressure exerted on a movable actuating element connected to the plug element causes its displacement away from sealing engagement with the second inlet, thereby allowing fluid flow to the fluid playground device.

Check valve for ventilation or outlet openings of compressed air apparatuses in vehicles

A ventilation or check valve for ventilation or outlet openings of compressed air apparatuses of vehicles, includes at least one diaphragm disk which is made from flexible material, is held with a central region in a bore of a valve housing and is prestressed with a radially outer region against a valve seat on the valve housing, to lift up from the valve seat in a pressure-induced manner in the case of a pressure gradient between an inlet space and an outlet space or atmosphere and to open a flow cross section between the inlet space and the outlet space or atmosphere, in which, as viewed in the circumferential direction of the diaphragm disk, a plurality of hold-downs which are arranged at a circumferential spacing from one another and hold down the radially outer region of the diaphragm disk locally against the valve seat are provided on the valve housing.

Poppet valve with integrated dampener

A poppet valve with an integrated dampener is disclosed. In some embodiments, the valve includes a poppet guide with a stem and a hollow poppet is disclosed. The hollow poppet receives the poppet guide stem therein, thereby defining an internal cavity. The poppet is movable relative to the poppet guide to adjust the volume of the internal cavity. The poppet is also moveable relative to a valve seat between a seated position and an unseated position. The poppet may include a body with a seal groove and an elastic seal disposed within the seal groove. The seal is configured to engage the valve seat prior to the poppet body when the poppet moves toward the seated position. The valve may include a poppet guide pivot system that enables pivoting of the poppet guide and the poppet relative to an axial centerline of the valve.

Cylinder phaser valves

A phaser valve for a piston and cylinder assembly helps to keep a pair of pistons in phase with each other. The phaser valve includes a poppet which is slidable between opposing seats of a valve housing. The poppet includes a head and a stem, both the head and the stem having concave portions which facilitate the flow of hydraulic fluid across the valve. The poppet head has two generally conical ends, so that the head makes a fluid-tight seal with a seat when the head is urged towards either seat. Due to its construction, the phaser valve may be built to fit within a very small space, while still allowing a substantial flow of fluid when the head is not in abutment with one of the seats.
