Terminal for a motion transmitting remote control assembly
A terminal (10) for a motion transmitting remote control assembly (12) securable to a control member (14) in a vehicle includes a housing (44) for connection to a core element (20) of the motion transmitting remote control assembly (12) with the housing (44) defining an aperture (48) forming at least one open end (50). The terminal (10) also includes a connecting member (60) having a body (62) disposed in the aperture (48) with the body (62) having a cavity (66) for receiving the control member (14) and a groove (84) in communication with the cavity (66). The terminal (10) further includes a retainer (90) mounted to the connecting member (60) and disposed in the groove (84) of the body (62) with the retainer (90) disposed in the aperture (48) when the connecting member (60) is in the housing (44) and the retainer (90) extending into the cavity (66) for engaging the control member (14) to retain the terminal (10) to the control member (14) and to prevent non-destructive removal of the terminal (10) from the control member (14).
Framing System for Steel Stud Framing
The present invention is a framing system for resolving vertical and horizontal movements in light gage, cold formed, steel stud framing. It utilizes at least one corner hinge and a plurality of pivoting stud clips (one for each stud) that accommodate for the deflection of a building as it encounters environmental changes. Additional hinges may be placed axially, along the wall and at the top and bottom of the corner for increased flexibility. Two embodiments of stud pivot clips, one utilizing direct attachment and arcuate slots, the other utilizing a pivotable connection plate, are disclosed; as are two hinge embodiments.
Tool for a medical instrument
A tool for a distal end or on a distal end of a shaft of a medical instrument includes a basic body, a mouth part which is pivotable about a pivot axis in relation to the basic body, and a bearing which defines the pivot axis, wherein the bearing includes two axle journals which are spaced apart from one another, each with a radial surface which is rotationally symmetrical with respect to the pivot axis.
Telescopic arm for a refuse vehicle
A telescopic side arm for a refuse vehicle has an inner and outer boom. A mounting assembly secures the outer boom with a refuse vehicle. A plurality of bearing pads is positioned between the inner and outer booms to provide smooth movement between the inner and outer booms. A plurality of shims is associated with the bearing pads to assure a tight fit between the inner and outer booms.
Load cell for screw piling power head
A system to measure the installation torque of a screw pile is provided. The system includes a rotary drive and a universal joint-type coupler. A load pin, having at least one sensor, is mounted through the universal joint-type coupler as a pivot pin. The load pin is oriented within the universal joint-type coupler so that at least some of the installation torque is transmitted through the load pin and is measurable by the sensor. Preferably, the load pin is provided with a pair of bores, and then a plurality of sensors are mounted within the bores. More preferably, a differential bridge network is used to obtain a measurable signal from the plurality of sensors.

Shaft and actuator for retractable snowmobile ski wheel system and method of using the same
The present invention provides a retractable wheel system for snowmobile skis. The retractable wheel system of the present invention may be installed on a snowmobile ski without affecting its structural integrity by installing the system on the reinforced portion of the snowmobile ski. When a user circulates in a path with little or no snow, the retractable wheel system is positioned in the extended configuration by the user and the system will automatically return to the retracted configuration when the user returns in a snowy zone. This is realized by using a pre-tensioned spring that will reposition the wheel in the retracted configuration. The spring transmits a rotational movement to the member on which the wheel is fixed.
