Universal coupling for hollow carbon fiber composite structures
A system and process for removably and replaceably coupling two hollow carbon fiber composite structures without the need for adhesives or welding. A universal coupling makes use of reciprocating catches in the end regions of the universal coupling. The reciprocating catches engage receiving features provided in the hollow carbon fiber composite structures to couple the hollow carbon fiber composite structures to the universal coupling, and through the universal coupling, couple the hollow carbon fiber composite structures together. The hollow carbon fiber composite structures can be uncoupled by disengaging the reciprocating catches of the universal coupling from the receiving features of the hollow carbon fiber composite structures.
Shaft coupler
A coupler for connecting two segments of a shaft comprises a first fitting and a second fitting, each of what is attachable to the end of a shaft segment. The first fitting has at least one spring loaded button. The first fitting is received within the cavity of the second fitting. A coupler button has a recess in the base for receiving a spring and there are planar button-guiding surfaces within the first fitting. The second fitting preferably has one or more exterior surface flats which align with the direction of button movement and which mate with one or more flats within of the second fitting cavity.
LOCKING/ INDEXING PIN
A locking pin assembly having a body including a wall defining an interior space and having at least one aperture therethrough for allowing fluid communication between the interior space and an exterior environment. A barrel defines a bore and has an outer wall with external threads. A pin travels longitudinally within the interior space of the body and the bore of the barrel. A spring actuated assembly maintains an end of the pin in an extended position relative to an end of the barrel when no force is applied to the pin and allows the pin to retract relative to the end of the barrel when a force is applied to the pin.
Coupling device
A shaft coupling device includes a first portion, a second portion, a pair of buttons, a biasing member, and at least one button stop. The first portion has a female couple section and a first device mounting section. The second portion has a male couple section and a second device mounting section. The male couple section is configured so as to be receivable within the cavity of the female couple section. The biasing member, the button stop, and at least a portion of the first and second buttons are disposed within the second cavity of the male couple section, with the biasing member disposed between the buttons, biasing the buttons radially outwardly. The button stop limits the radially inward travel of the buttons.
Locking / indexing pin
A locking pin assembly having a body including a wall defining an interior space and having at least one aperture therethrough for allowing fluid communication between the interior space and an exterior environment. A barrel defines a bore and has an outer wall with external threads. A pin travels longitudinally within the interior space of the body and the bore of the barrel. A spring actuated assembly maintains an end of the pin in an extended position relative to an end of the barrel when no force is applied to the pin and allows the pin to retract relative to the end of the barrel when a force is applied to the pin.
QUICK RELEASE DEVICE OF HAND TOOL
A quick release device of a hand tool includes: a main body; an operating portion, including a slidable sleeve movably disposed around the main body and a pin radially inserted into the slidable sleeve, the operating portion further including a movable rod movably disposed in the main body, the pin connected with the movable rod; an annular plastic body, rotatably disposed around the slidable sleeve and corresponding to the pin, a stepped structure formed between the slidable sleeve and the annular plastic body; an identification portion, disposed around the annular plastic body; wherein the slidable sleeve is movable between first and second positions, when the slidable sleeve moves toward the first position, the pin drives the movable rod to move toward a fixing position; when the slidable sleeve moves toward the second position, the pin pushes the movable rod to move toward a releasing position.
CANTED COIL SPRING WITH LONGITUDINAL COMPONENT WITHIN AND RELATED METHODS
A coil spring for use in a cavity, such as in a groove of a pin, a housing, or both. The cavity can also be part of a seal assembly. The coil spring can have a longitudinal component positioned within the plurality of interconnected coils that runs along the spring coil axis in order to increase rigidity of the coil spring. The longitudinal component applies a load against the coil spring and/or provides restriction against the coil spring taking a shape or size different than that of the coil spring retaining groove.

The longitudinal component applies a load against the coil spring and/or provides restriction against the coil spring taking a shape or size different than that of the coil spring retaining groove.
Quick Disconnect Securement Device
A quick disconnect device for detachably holding a long gun or other elongated emergency tool (EET). The quick disconnect device receives and captures the ball of a ball-and-stem structure that is attached to the EET. The quick disconnect device may allow the EET to rotate about the central axis of the stem, but otherwise prevents relative translational and rotational motion between the EET and the quick disconnect device. The quick disconnect device is especially suitable for mounting to clothing, such as a utility belt or a ballistic vest. the quick disconnect device allows the EET to be inserted without requiring the user to directly manipulate the quick connection device, but requires the user to manipulate some sort of mechanism on the quick connect device in order to release the EET.
Device for compensating offset in automatic locking systems
A device for compensating the offset in automatic locking systems for the mounting of blanks comprising a box-like body composed of a T-shaped hollow body and a U-shaped base, which form an inner seat for a frustum-shaped jacket, which is arranged coaxially to the shank of the hollow body and above a piston, which can move transversely to the shank, a traction element being slideably arrangeable in the shank of the hollow body, the traction element cooperating selectively with balls which can be accommodated within openings provided in the shank and within second seats provided on the jacket, elastically compressible elements being arranged between the head of the hollow body and the jacket.
