ELECTRICALLY INSULATED SHAFT COUPLING
An electrically insulated shaft coupling may include a first metallic portion, a second metallic portion, and an electrically insulating portion that separates the first metallic portion and the second metallic portion. The first metallic portion may include a first plurality of splines configured to interface with splines of a first rotating shaft, and the second metallic portion comprises a second plurality of splines configured to interface with splines of a second rotating shaft.
Coupler for interconnecting externally splined power take off shaft of prime mover and driveline of implement
A coupler for operatively interconnecting an externally splined power take off (PTO) shaft of a prime mover and a driveline of an implement that is configured to be driven by the prime mover so as to operate the implement comprises a smooth bore arranged to receive the splined PTO shaft and at least one spline-forming member which is movable in a radial direction relative to the bore between a working position for mating with a respective spline of the PTO shaft and a retracted position in which the spline-forming member is free of mating engagement with the splined shaft. There is also provided at least one locking member which is radially movable in a similar fashion to the spline-forming member between matingly-engaging and non-matingly engaging positions relative to a circumferential groove in the PTO shaft. The locking member is coincident with the spline-forming member circumferentially of the bore.
TRANSFER CASE YOKE
A yoke for a transfer case output shaft includes a hollow cylindrical sleeve portion and a disc-shaped flange portion extending radially from an outer portion of the hollow cylindrical sleeve portion. The hollow cylindrical sleeve portion includes a plurality of inwardly extending splines configured to engage outwardly extending splines of the transfer case outlet shaft. The disc-shaped flange portion has a plurality of fastener openings therethrough that correspond to fastener openings through a flange portion of a companion flange. A notch is formed through the hollow cylindrical sleeve portion at an open end of the hollow cylindrical sleeve portion. A groove is formed within the inner surface of the hollow cylindrical sleeve and extends about a rotation axis of the hollow cylindrical sleeve portion. A C-clip is received within the groove for restricting axial movement along the rotation axis and includes open ends that are received within the notch.
Propeller shaft for vehicle
A propeller shaft for a vehicle in which a tube yoke is connected to a main tube via an adapter and tapered splines are formed at the contact regions between a tube yoke and the main tube to transmit the power output from a transmission to a rear wheel. The tube yoke and the main tube are displaced relative to each other at the tapered splines to break the adapter. The tube yoke and the main tube are thus separated from each other by virtue of the breakage of the adapter.
INTERMEDIATE SHAFT AXIAL RETENTION DEVICE
A steering shaft assembly includes a male shaft having a plurality of splines formed thereon, each of the splines terminating at a spline end, wherein each of the spline ends form an angle of about 90 degrees relative to a longitudinal direction of the splines. The steering shaft assembly also includes a female shaft including a plurality of stakes located proximate an end of the female shaft, the stakes retaining the male shaft at an interface between the stakes and the spline ends.
DRUM UNIT, CARTRIDGE AND COUPLING MEMBER
A coupling member is provided for a cartridge that includes a cylindrical photosensitive drum that is rotatable about an axis. The coupling member is operatively connected to the photosensitive drum and is capable of receiving a rotational force for rotating the photosensitive drum.
PROPELLER SHAFT FOR VEHICLE
A propeller shaft for a vehicle is provided in which a tube yoke is connected to a main tube via an adapter and tapered splines are formed at the contact regions between a tube yoke and the main tube to transmit the power output from a transmission to a rear wheel. The tube yoke and the main tube are displaced relative to each other at the tapered splines to break the adapter. The tube yoke and the main tube are thus separated from each other by virtue of the breakage of the adapter to efficiently absorb impact energy.
Propeller shaft slip member with crash collapse assembly
A vehicle shaft assembly (500). The shaft assembly includes a coupling assembly having a first (506), a second (508) and a third (510) joint member. A substantially cylindrical body portion of the second joint member is drivingly connected to a first shaft (560) having an increased diameter portion. The increased diameter portion of the first shaft has a retaining member groove (604) circumferentially extending along at least a portion of an outer surface of the increased diameter portion. At least a portion of the increased diameter portion of the first shaft is drivingly connected to a crash collapse adapter (608) having a crash collapse feature circumferentially extending along an inner surface of the crash collapse adapter. A second shaft (640) is integrally connected to at least a portion of an outer surface of the crash collapse adapter (608). At least a portion of a retaining member is disposed within the retaining member groove and the crash collapse feature.
Wheel drive unit for vehicle
A wheel drive unit for a vehicle includes a connecting member separably coupled to a constant velocity joint, a hub housing accommodating the constant velocity joint, and a hub cap to seal the hub housing. In particular, a fixing groove is formed around a first end of the constant velocity joint, and the connecting member is fitted in the fixing groove in a ring shape. When the hub cap is separated from the hub housing, the connecting member can be easily disassembled from the constant velocity joint such that inner components of the wheel drive unit can be easily replaced and repaired.
Type of constant velocity universal joint with the spline slip structure
A type of constant velocity universal joint has the spline slip structure, including the steel wire retaining ring and the star-shaped sleeve which are both mounted on a common axis, and the steel wire retaining ring limiting device. The said steel wire retaining ring limiting device is a groove arranged on the said star-shaped sleeve and used for holding the said steel wire retaining ring. The said steel wire retaining ring may be elliptic or circular. The movement in the radial direction of the steel wire retaining ring will be limited by the groove on the star shaped sleeve and there occurs a certain contraction, in addition to appropriate the chamfer angle of the groove, when removing the spline shaft from the star-shaped sleeve.
