DRILLING TOOL
A drilling tool includes at least two chip flutes and a chisel edge with a thinned region. The thinned region merges continuously into the chip flutes in such a way that the thinned region forms the end of the respective chip flute in the region of the chisel edge.
Ejector drill system
A drilling head for a tubular shank having an inside diameter and threads may comprise an axial body comprising a duct exiting through a first end; threads adjacent the first end corresponding to the threads on the shank and aligning the duct with the shank inside diameter; a bore from an outer surface of the body to the duct; and two axially extending approximately parallel and offset surfaces adjacent a second end; and an insert affixed between the offset surfaces, the insert comprising: a first face at least partially contacting one offset surface and a second face at least partially contacting the other offset surface; one or more cutting edges adjacent the first face, the second face, or both; and a cutting lip adjacent one or more cutting edges.

Reamers with radially extending flutes
In one aspect, reamers having radially extending flutes are described herein. A reamer described herein comprises a cutting portion including a plurality of cutting teeth separated by flutes, the cutting teeth defining an outer diameter of the cutting portion and the flutes extending radially to define an inner diameter of the cutting portion.
SINGLE-LIP DEEP HOLE DRILL
The invention relates to a single-lip deep hole drill comprising a drill head, wherein the drill head has a drill diameter, a blade and a channel for chip removal, wherein the blade extends outwards from a rotational axis (23) up to the perimeter of the drill head, wherein the blade has a cutting surface (33) and wherein the channel is bordered by a chip forming surface (15), wherein the chip forming surface (15) has two sections (19, 21) such that a first section (19) of the chip forming surface (15) extends in the radial direction from the rotational axis (23) up to a first diameter, a second section (21) of the chip forming surface (15) connects to the first section (19) in the radial direction, the first section (19) is positioned above the cutting surface (33), and the second section (21) is positioned nearer to the cutting surface (33) than the first section (19).
Adjustable indexable drill and modular system and holder
An adjustable drill has a drill body having a face surface with a directional feature provided therewith. At least one cartridge is mounted adjacent the face surface and selectively slidable along the directional feature to provide adjustment. At least one insert is releasably affixed in an insert pocket provided in the cartridge. In further examples, the adjustable drill may have a central cutting system in combination with the adjustable cartridge type system, wherein the central cutting system may be modular. There may also be provided a modular type of holder arrangement to provide flexibility to adapt the system for various applications.
METHOD OF JOINING SINTERED PARTS OF DIFFERENT SIZES AND SHAPES
A method of joining a plurality of parts to form a unitary body. At least two sintered parts are provided. At least one of the sintered parts has at least one internal cavity. Each of the parts is formed of a hard metal composition of material. The at least two sintered parts are assembled into the shape of a unitary body. Each of the at least two sintered parts has a joining surface and when each joining surface is brought into contact the surfaces form a bonding interface therebetween. The assembled parts are subjected to a vacuum or gas atmosphere, without the application of external pressure, and to a temperature sufficient to fuse the at least two sintered parts together at the bonding interface to form the unitary body.
