Workpiece changer
A workpiece change for use in a machine tool that comprises a tool spindle for clamping tools for machining workpieces, comprises two wheels arranged parallel to one another and rotatable about an axis of rotation into at least two prominent angular positions. Two swivel tables for clamping workpieces are arranged between the wheels and are each mounted on the wheels to swivel about a swivel axis which runs parallel to the axis of rotation. In each prominent angular position, one of the swivel tables is located in its working position in which clamped workpieces can be machined with the tools. Both wheels are supported at their rim.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing a transmission case
A method of manufacturing a transmission case housing is provided wherein a minimum quantity of lubrication as a compressed air/oil mist is supplied as the housing is rough bored and face milled. The transmission case defines a plurality of transmission fluid drainage holes for draining transmission fluid from the transmission when installed in a vehicle. The housing is positioned with the fluid drainage holes below a central axis of the housing and a plurality of internal bores and faces are bored and face milled on the housing. The compressed air/oil mist is sprayed from the cutting head to cool and lubricate the boring and face milling tools. Machining chips are blown off the rough bored housing through the fluid drainage holes.
MACHINE TOOL AND MACHINE TOOL SYSTEM
A machine tool includes a base, a table, a main spindle, and a trunnion unit. The table is installed on the base. A tool is mounted to the main spindle. The main spindle is caused to approach a workpiece on the table along an up-down direction. The trunnion unit is configured to rotatably hold the table on which the workpiece is placed using a rotation axis along a front-rear direction as a center. The trunnion unit is disposed movable in a right-left direction.
Machining apparatus
A machining apparatus includes a first frame including a first surface formed along a Z-axis direction and a second surface formed along a Y-axis direction. An X-axis moving mechanism and a Z-axis moving mechanism are disposed on the first surface side of the first frame. A Y-axis moving mechanism is disposed on the second surface side of the first frame. A second frame supports the first frame from the second surface side of the first frame. An A-axis rotating mechanism, a B-axis rotating mechanism, and a supporting mechanism that supports an object to be machined are moved by the Y-axis moving mechanism. The t Y-axis moving mechanism is disposed in a space located below the first frame in the Z-axis direction, and formed by the second flame.
Method and machine for machining parts in bar form with automatic part reversing and recalibration system
An automatic method for changing the machining reference frame on a machine for machining parts from bars, notably extruded or molded profile sections, the part to be machined being held during its machining by at least two distinct and independent clamping means each having a longitudinal movement and a rotation on an axis parallel to the long axis of the part to be machined allowing for a relative angular and longitudinal displacement of one relative to the other, a method whereby, in order to proceed with a change of reference frame, one of the clamping means releases the part to be machined and disengages therefrom to turn freely about the long axis of the part independently of the other clamping means, then aligns itself angularly on new clamping references of the part before retaking the latter and allowing for a change of grip by the other clamping means.
Machine tool having a workpiece changing device
A machine tool for machining workpieces, wherein the machine tool has at least one first spindle assembly with at least one working spindle on which a machining tool for workpiece machining is arrangeable, wherein the machine tool has a workpiece holding device for holding workpieces for the purpose of workpiece machining by way of the machining tool, wherein the machine tool has a guide arrangement for the relative positioning of the workpiece holding device holding the workpieces and the first spindle assembly for workpiece machining, wherein the guide arrangement comprises a workpiece-holder guide for guiding the workpiece holding device so as to position a workpiece holder holding the workpieces relative to the first spindle assembly.

Five-axis machining apparatus
Disclosed is a five axis machining apparatus. The five axis machining apparatus comprises a base member, a support member, a stationary base, a first moving plate, a second moving plate, a third moving plate, a fourth moving frame, a fifth moving frame and a controller (not shown). The five axis machining apparatus is designed to hold together A, C and X axes thereby resulting in a reduced size without compromising on rigidity that is required for processing metallic job components. The five axis machining apparatus allows independent as well as simultaneous control of X, Y, Z, A and C axes.
Counterweight mechanism for swivel arrangement
A counterweight mechanism for a swivel arrangement includes first and second counterweights each including a seat, an axle, and two cylinders. The swivel arrangement has one end adjacent to the axle. The axle is rotatably, partially disposed in the seat. Each cylinder has a first end pivotably secured to a position proximate to the axle and a second end pivotably secured to the seat.
