UNIDIRECTIONAL-DRIVEN DRUG INFUSION DEVICE
A unidirectional-driven drug infusion device, includes: a reservoir, a piston and a screw, the piston is arranged in the reservoir; a driving module which includes at least one driving wheel and at least one driving arm that cooperate with each other, the circumferential surface of the driving wheel is provided with wheel teeth; a power module coupled to the driving arm; a control module, connected to the power module, controls the power module to apply different driving powers to the driving arm, making the driving arm perform linear reciprocating motion; and a friction member which is in contact with the surface of the driving wheel. This device can fully utilize the internal space of the infusion device, and its weight and volume is reduced.
SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY ACTUATED FLUIDIC SUBASSEMBLY AND EQUIPMENT INCORPORATING IT
The present invention is inherent to a shape memory alloy actuated fluidic subassembly (10) and to an equipment incorporating it as dispensing device, wherein actuation of the shape memory alloy wires (16, 16′) causes a fluid-tight reservoir (17″) to be compressed by a lid (18) so as to reduce its volume from a maximum volume Vo to a minimum volume V1, this reduction resulting in a pressure increase that causes the opening of an outlet flap (13″) and the dispensing of a fluid through an outlet channel (13).
Apparatus for infusing fluid
A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.
INJECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AQUATIC SPECIES
An injection apparatus can include a hand-held unit having a head portion and a body portion. The head portion can include a base member, a needle fluidly coupled to the base member, a movable portion disposed over the needle and being axially movable relative to the base member between an extended position and a retracted position in which a distal point of the needle is exposed, a safety cover removably coupled to the base member, the safety cover comprising one or more extension members, and an adjustment member removably coupled to the movable portion and configured to adjust a penetration depth of the needle by increasing or decreasing a distance between the movable portion and the base member.
Ambulatory infusion pumps and assemblies for use with same
Ambulatory infusion pumps, medicament reservoirs, and medicament sealing assemblies, including a variety of trocar seal assemblies and fill plug seal assemblies, plus related components, as well as component combinations and related methods.
INFUSION PUMP
An infusion pump is disclosed comprising control unit, container, actuation unit and detection unit. The container can store medicinal liquid for treating hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. The control unit can receive external control signal comprising infusion interval, concentration of medicinal liquid and dose of medicament for treating hypogonadotropic hypogonadism at each infusion. The control unit is configured to activate actuation unit based on infusion interval to cause medicinal liquid to flow out of container. The detection unit can detect output of medicinal liquid from container and feed it back to control unit. The control unit is configured to activate actuation unit based on dose at each infusion, concentration of medicinal liquid and fed-back output of medicinal liquid. According to the invention, sustained, automatic infusions of the medicament for treating hypogonadotropic hypogonadism are allowed without patient intervention. As a result, intelligent infusion of medicament is achieved in an easy and efficient manner.
Adhesive and peripheral systems and methods for medical devices
Fill stations and base stations are provided for personal pump systems. The fill stations may be opened and closed to accept a reservoir and to allow fluid to be introduced into the reservoir for use with personal pump systems. The fill stations may hold the reservoir at a tilt relative to an underlying surface and may discourage overfilling of the reservoir. The filling stations may also include viewing windows having fluid lines marked thereon for indicating volume of fluid within the reservoir.
Double action infusion pump
An infusion system includes a double action infusion pump. The pump includes a cylinder and a reciprocating piston received within the cylinder, the reciprocating piston separating a first pump chamber from a second pump chamber of the cylinder. A reciprocating motor is coupled with the reciprocating piston, and the first and second pump chambers alternate between filling and evacuating conditions with reciprocation of the reciprocating piston through operation of the reciprocating motor, and the speed of reciprocation is varied to provide a continuous output of fluid between the first and second pump chambers. A fluid source and a catheter are optionally coupled with the double action infusion pump. The catheter includes one or more infusion ports near a catheter distal portion, and the one or more infusion ports receive and expel the continuous output of fluid from the double action infusion pump.
Adhesive and peripheral systems and methods for medical devices
A system is disclosed. The system includes a reservoir for containing a fluidic medium, the reservoir including a front surface, a resilient cylindrical flexure portion connected to the front surface, the resilient cylindrical flexure portion comprising an accordion-like structure that is able to expand and contract to change an interior volume within the resilient cylindrical flexure portion, a central passageway within the resilient cylindrical flexure, and a collection chamber connected to the central passageway. Also, a system including a reservoir, a plunger head located within the reservoir, a plunger arm connected to the plunger head, a driving shaft connected to the plunger arm, and a motor connected to the driving shaft, the motor controllable to move the drive shaft in a first motion and a second motion so as to move the advance plunger head and retract the plunger head within the reservoir.
