Apparatus, System and Method for Fluid Delivery
A device for filling a reservoir. The device includes a cover portion comprising a septum window, and a bottom portion, the bottom portion configured to attach to a disposable housing assembly comprising the reservoir, wherein the cover portion and the bottom portion are rotatably attached in a locked configuration and wherein in a locked configuration, a septum is obscured through the septum window, wherein when the cover portion and the bottom portion are placed in an unlocked configuration, the cover portion rotates with respect to the bottom portion and the septum is visible through the septum window.
MINIATURIZED MULTIPLE CHANNEL PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are systems comprising a pressure adjustment manifold, a pressure distribution manifold, and an electronic board, each of which are operatively connected. Also provided herein are methods of making and using the same.
Infusion Pump Assembly
A wearable infusion pump assembly includes a reservoir for receiving an infusible fluid, and an external infusion set configured to deliver the infusible fluid to a user. A fluid delivery system is configured to deliver the infusible fluid from the reservoir to the external infusion set. The fluid delivery system includes a volume sensor assembly, and a pump assembly for extracting a quantity of infusible fluid from the reservoir and providing the quantity of infusible fluid to the volume sensor assembly. The volume sensor assembly is configured to determine the volume of at least a portion of the quantity of fluid. The fluid delivery system further includes at least one optical sensor assembly configured to sense the movement of the pump assembly, a first valve assembly configured to selectively isolate the pump assembly from the reservoir, and a second valve assembly configured to selectively isolate the volume sensor assembly from the external infusion set.
Systems, devices and methods for sustained delivery of a therapeutic fluid
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices, systems and methods for delivering therapeutic fluid (e.g., insulin) into the body, including a skin adherable cradle, for retaining a therapeutic fluid dispenser for delivering a therapeutic fluid to a user.
Reciprocating pump
A pump suitable for use in a wearable medical device, such as a patch pump, comprises an axially translatable chamber with an inlet and an outlet, a piston or a diaphragm rotatably received in the chamber, a first valve between the inlet and the chamber, a second valve between the outlet and the chamber, a cam affixed to the chamber, a follower affixed to the piston and in contact with the cam for axially translating the chamber, and a biasing means acting on the chamber for applying a force on the chamber in an axial direction of the chamber to maintain such contact.
Injecting a supplemental fluid in a conduit to deliver a primary fluid
A controller controls a fluid pump to deliver primary fluid from a first source at a desired rate through a respective conduit to a recipient. The controller monitors a volume of the primary fluid injected into the conduit. Subsequent to injecting a predetermined amount of the primary fluid into the conduit, the controller i) discontinues injection of the primary fluid into the conduit and ii) injects a secondary fluid through the conduit to advance a remaining portion of the primary fluid in the conduit to the recipient. The controller advances the secondary fluid into the conduit until a desired amount of the primary fluid is delivered trough the conduit to the recipient. Injection of the secondary fluid to push the remaining portion of the primary fluid reduces waste associated with the primary fluid.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLUID DELIVERY
A filling aid device for filling a reservoir. The device includes a cover portion comprising a septum window; a slider beam comprising a septum cover; and a first filling aid tab attached to the slider beam, the first filling aid tab in slidable relation to the cover from a first position to a second position, wherein when the filling aid device is in an unlocked position, the septum cover is located below the septum window, wherein when the first filling aid tab is moved from the first position to the second position, the septum cover is moved from below the septum window, and the filling aid device is in the locked position.
Apparatus for infusing fluid
A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.
Patch-sized fluid delivery system
A patch-sized fluid delivery device may include a reusable portion and a disposable portion. The disposable portion may include components that come into contact with the fluid, while the reusable portion may include only components that do not come into contact with the fluid. Redundant systems, such as redundant controllers, power sources, motor actuators, and alarms, may be provided. Alternatively or additionally, certain components can be multi-functional, such a microphones and loudspeakers that may be used for both acoustic volume sensing and for other functions and a coil that may be used as both an inductive coupler for a battery recharger and an antenna for a wireless transceiver. Various types of network interfaces may be provided in order to allow for remote control and monitoring of the device.
