An infusion cassette of an infusion set is provided with a flow channel, and includes a rigid assembly, elastic membranes and a locking mechanism. The rigid assembly includes a plurality of components stacked onto one another, at least one of the components is provided with a groove, and the elastic membranes are each arranged between two adjacent components to cover the groove in a sealing manner; and the locking mechanism includes a mounting frame and a liquid stop plug fixedly arranged on the mounting frame, and configured to press the elastic membranes to close the flow channel, the locking mechanism closes or opens the flow channel by the liquid stop plug. The mounting frame is movably connected to the rigid assembly, such that the locking mechanism is switched between a closed state in which the flow channel is closed and an open state in which the flow channel is opened.
FLUID TRANSFER DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
Fluid transfer systems are disclosed that can be configured to transfer precise amounts of fluid from a source container to a target container. The fluid transfer system can have multiple fluid transfer stations for transferring fluids into multiple target containers or for combining different types of fluids into a single target container to form a mixture. The fluid transfer system can include a pump and a destination sensor, such as a weight sensor. The fluid transfer system can be configured to flush remaining fluid out of a connector to reduce waste, using air or a flushing fluid.
Occlusion detection device, transfusion apparatus, and occlusion detection method
An occlusion detection device detects an occlusion of a flexible fluid path on either of upstream and downstream sides of a pump mechanism, the pump mechanism transporting a liquid through the fluid path by elastically deforming the fluid path. The occlusion detection device is provided with: an occlusion sensor that is disposed on the downstream side of the pump mechanism and detects an internal pressure of the fluid path during a liquid transporting operation of the pump mechanism; and a data processing circuit that analyzes on which side of the upstream and downstream sides of the pump mechanism the occlusion of the fluid path occurs, based on a change of the internal pressure of the fluid path detected by the occlusion sensor and outputs an analysis result.
Apparatus for infusing fluid
A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.
FLUID MANAGEMENT OF ADIPOSE TISSUE
An adipose tissue (AT) transfer system includes, on the aspiration side, an aspiration cannula, an aspiration pump, a container, and flexible tubing connecting the aspiration cannula to the container. On the reinjection side, the system includes a reinjection cannula, flexible tubing connecting the inlet of the reinjection cannula to the container, and a reinjection pump imposing positive-displacement pumping action on the flexible tubing and causing movement of AT in a pulsed mode. The aspiration pump operates to continually supply harvested AT to the second flexible tubing while the reinjection pumps causes continuous or pulsed deposition of the AT at injection site. To ensure that internal pressure and/or flow of the AT through a channel of delivery of the AT to the reinjection site does not exceed a predetermined value, the system contains an external pressure sensor configured to measure such internal pressure in absence of a part that is in direct contact with the AT.
FLUID INJECTION DEVICE FOR INJECTING A FLUID BEHIND THE TYMPANIC MEMBRANE
Fluid injection device for injecting a fluid behind a tympanic membrane of a patient, comprising: a hollow needle having a needle tip with a fluid outlet at a distal end thereof, the needle tip being configured for piercing the tympanic membrane of the patient; a container for storing the fluid to be injected behind the tympanic membrane, the container being arranged in fluid communication with the hollow needle; characterised, in that the hollow needle comprises an elongated venting aperture in an outer wall thereof, the elongated venting aperture being positionable at an inner side of an ear membrane of the patient as well as at an outer ide of said ear membrane when injecting fluid, so as to allow excess fluid on the inner side of said membrane to flow through the elongated venting aperture, to the outer side of said membrane.
Apparatus and method for infusing fluid through a tube by appropriately heating the tube
A peristaltic pump disclosed herein includes a raceway, a plunger, a motor, and a heater. The raceway is configured to retain a tube (e.g., an IV tube). The plunger acts on the tube disposed within the raceway. The motor engages the plunger to actuate the plunger. The heater is disposed in thermal-conductive contact with the tube. That is, the heater, either through direct or indirect application, heats the tube.
INFUSION PUMP
An infusion pump is disclosed comprising control unit, container, actuation unit and detection unit. The container can store medicinal liquid for treating hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. The control unit can receive external control signal comprising infusion interval, concentration of medicinal liquid and dose of medicament for treating hypogonadotropic hypogonadism at each infusion. The control unit is configured to activate actuation unit based on infusion interval to cause medicinal liquid to flow out of container. The detection unit can detect output of medicinal liquid from container and feed it back to control unit. The control unit is configured to activate actuation unit based on dose at each infusion, concentration of medicinal liquid and fed-back output of medicinal liquid. According to the invention, sustained, automatic infusions of the medicament for treating hypogonadotropic hypogonadism are allowed without patient intervention. As a result, intelligent infusion of medicament is achieved in an easy and efficient manner.
FLUID SWITCHING VALVE, FLUID DELIVERY CARTRIDGE, AND FLUID DELIVERY DRIVING UNIT
A fluid switching valve including a first elastic tube that delivers a first fluid; a second elastic tube that delivers a second fluid; a third elastic tube having one end connected to the first and second elastic tubes; and a switching member that, by displacing a protruding portion, switches between a first state in which the first elastic tube is constricted and the second fluid is delivered to the third elastic tube, a second state in which the second elastic tube is constricted and the first fluid is delivered to the third elastic tube, a third state in which the first and second elastic tubes are both constricted and introduction of fluid to the third elastic tube is cut off, and a fourth state in which neither the first nor second elastic tube is constricted and both the first and second fluids are delivered to the third elastic tube.
PERISTALTIC PUMP AND RELATED METHOD
A peristaltic pump, and related method, are disclosed that includes a cam shaft, a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, a spring, a plunger, a door, and a plunger lift lever. The cam shaft includes a plunger cam. The plunger-cam follower engages with the plunger cam of the cam shaft. The spring provides a bias and the plunger is biased toward the tube receiver by the spring. The plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower where expansion of the plunger cam along a radial angle intersecting the plunger-cam follower as the cam shaft rotates actuates the plunger away from the tube receiver. The door lever can be actuated between a first position and a second position. The plunger lift lever is coupled to the door lever to actuate the plunger away from the tube receiver when the door lever is actuated to the second position.
