LINEAR SHUTTLE PUMP FOR DRUG DELIVERY
Examples of fluid delivery drive system and/or pump system that creates a vacuum in a fluid line for drawing and expelling fluid are provided. The vacuum may be created by separating two components that are positioned within the sealed fluid line. Once the two components are separated and the fluid is contained within the volume created between the separated components, the two components may be shuttled within the sealed volume. The movement of the two components can seal off an inlet to the fluid line and then open a pathway to an outlet from the fluid line while ensuring the created volume between the two components is maintained constant. The two components can then be moved back together to expel the fluid from the created volume through the outlet for delivery, for example, to a patient. Other examples are disclosed and described.
Medical fluid injector and medical fluid supply device including same
A medical fluid injector is connected to a supply tube through which medical fluid is supplied and a discharge tube through which the medical fluid is discharged. The medical fluid injector has a housing body and a reservoir module which is disposed within the housing body. The housing body has a grip portion, which has a length in the longitudinal direction that is greater than a width in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and a pair of button protection arms located at one end adjacent to the grip portion. The reservoir module has a reservoir bag, which stores and discharges the medical fluid, and a push button which pushes the reservoir bag to discharge the medical fluid in the reservoir bag. The reservoir bag is fluidically connected to the supply tube and the discharge tube. A portion of the push button is positioned between the button protection arms.

The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, a compartment inside said housing for positioning a medicament container, an injection needle arranged to said housing, being connectable to said medicament container for delivering a dose of medicament, a manually operated activation mechanism for activating said device, an actuation mechanism operably connected to said activation mechanism and arranged to, upon activation of said activation mechanism, extend said injection needle from a first position inside said housing to a second position wherein a penetration of a patient is performed, a plunger rod arranged in said housing capable of acting on said medicament container for delivering a dose of medicament through said injection needle, a driver capable of acting on said plunger rod for delivering a dose of medicament. The invention is characterised in that said device comprises a needle cover operably arranged in said housing from a first position inside said housing to a second extended position outside said housing for shielding said injection needle when said injection needle is in said second position.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A BOLUS DOSE IN A MICROFLUIDIC CIRCUIT OF A PUMP
Devices and methods for administering a medication in fluid form, the systems and methods including a basal flow path and a bolus flow path in parallel to the basal flow path. The bolus flow path includes an inlet check valve, a first outlet check valve downstream of the inlet check valve, and a piston pump disposed between the inlet check valve and the first outlet check valve. The piston pump is configured to prevent partial dosing of a bolus dose.
PUMPS FOR IMPROVING FLUID DELIVERY AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
IV sets including a plurality of hand pumps and methods of use thereof are described herein. An IV set includes a first portion of tubing, a second portion of tubing, and a drip chamber. The drip chamber includes a spikeless inlet fluidically coupled to the first portion of the tubing, an outlet fluidic ally coupled to the second portion of the tubing, and a curved drop former positioned within the drip chamber between the inlet and the outlet. The curved drop former is configured to receive a fluid via the spikeless inlet and form, based on a curvature of its surface, one or more droplets having a substantially uniform consistency and flowing at a substantially constant rate through the drip chamber.

Disclosed is an irrigation system. The irrigation system includes a manual pump. The manual pump can provide pressurized liquid through a tube at an outlet.
Apparatus and methods for purging catheter systems
Apparatus and methods for providing controlled pressure-flow pulses which purge a catheter system with turbulent flow flushing. Accomplishment of such controlled pressure-flow pulses is provided by a variety of inventive devices including a special plunger rod for a conventional syringe, other interactive parts for conventional syringes, an in-line catheter attachable device which automatically generates the controlled pressure-flow pulses and also single pulse, digitally operated devices.
External driving mechanism
A system comprises a syringe pump and a special designed syringe. The syringe pump includes a housing with a flange holder for receiving a flange of the syringe barrel, an electrical motor disposed inside the housing, a plurality of gears driven by the electrical motor, a leadscrew connected to the plurality of gears, and a cage housing for housing the leadscrew and for holding at least partially the plunger. The flange of the plunger inserts into the flange holder, the leadscrew engages the plunger and moves the plunger in and out of the syringe.

A high pressure delivery system for delivering a medicament, comprising a first chamber for storing a supply of the medicament, a gear pump assembly in fluid communication with the first chamber, said gear pump assembly having a dose inlet and a dose discharge, said dose inlet having a larger diameter than said dose discharge to provide a high pressure discharge, and a fluid connection path in fluid communication with the gear pump assembly for delivering the medicament to a high pressure area.
Fluid management system
The invention provides a fluid management system (1) for providing fluid from a fluid source (20) to the body of a patient. The fluid management system (1) includes a compressible chamber (10). A fluid conduit (30) is in fluid communication with the fluid source (20) and with an interior of the compressible chamber (10). A bypass conduit (40) has an inlet end (43) in fluid communication with the fluid source (20) and an outlet end (44) for providing fluid to a trocar (70). The bypass conduit 40 passes either through or around the compressible chamber (10). A first one way valve (80) can admit fluid from the fluid conduit (30) into the interior of the compressible chamber (10). A second one way valve (90) can admit fluid within the interior of the compressible chamber (10) into the bypass conduit (40). A portion (46) of the bypass conduit (40) upstream of the second one way valve (90) is collapsible under the force of selectively applied external pressure when the compressible chamber (10) is at least partially filled with fluid from the fluid source (20), so as to selectively close off the bypass conduit (40) upstream of the second one way valve (90).
