METHODS FOR HEAD HEIGHT PRESSURE COMPENSATION
20240307614 · 2024-09-19 ·

The present disclosure provides a method for flow rate compensation in devices, such as infusion pumps. In various embodiments, a computer-implemented method includes determining a location of a plurality of infusion pumps in a pump stack including the plurality of infusion pumps and a fluid supply connected to each of the plurality of infusion pumps. The computer-implemented method also includes determining a reference infusion pump, in the plurality of infusion pumps, and adjusting the flow rate for each infusion pump in the plurality of infusion pumps based on the distance between the infusion pump and the reference infusion pump.

PLATE WITH INTEGRAL FLUID PATH CHANNELS

A medicament delivery device comprising a housing engaged to a base to form an interior therein, the interior including a reservoir for housing medicament, and a delivery mechanism that delivers the medicament into a skin of a patient, the delivery mechanism being fluidically connected to the reservoir by at least one fluid path, wherein the base includes a bottom external surface for orienting toward the skin of the patient, the bottom external surface of the base having one or more fluid channels integrally formed and disposed therein, and the at least one fluid path comprises the one or more fluid channels to provide fluid communication between the delivery mechanism and the reservoir.

There is provided a method for monitoring a portable medical device the method comprising the steps of a) a portable medical device (1) comprising a cellular radio transceiver (2) and at least one sensor (5), said sensor (5) selected from the group consisting of a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, an accelerometer, and an operations counter (14), the portable medical device (1) using the sensor (5) to determine a value of a parameter that is sensed by the sensor (5) b) the portable medical device (1) using the cellular radio transceiver (2) to establish a data connection to a remote computer (4) via a cellular network (3), c) the portable medical device (1) using the data connection to transfer the value from step a) to the remote computer (4), and d) the remote computer (4) using the value from step c) to decide whether the portable medical device (1) is in need of scrapping, service or replacement. There is also provided a system.

Implantable infusion device including anti-sealing reservoir

Techniques are disclosed for reducing the accumulation of gases in an implantable infusion device. In one example, an implantable infusion device (IID) includes a housing, an expandable and contractible reservoir, and a standoff member. The expandable and contractible reservoir is configured to store a therapeutic agent and is arranged within the housing. A first end of the reservoir is configured to collapse toward a second end of the reservoir as the reservoir contracts. The standoff member is interposed between the first end and the second end of the reservoir and is configured to hold at least a portion of the first end offset from the second end when the reservoir is in a contracted state.

Pump assembly with a removable cover assembly

An infusion pump assembly includes an enclosure assembly. A reservoir assembly is positioned at least partially within the enclosure assembly and is configured to contain an infusible fluid. A pump assembly is positioned at least partially within the enclosure assembly and is configured to effectuate the dispensing of the infusible fluid contained within the reservoir assembly. Processing logic is positioned at least partially within the enclosure assembly and is configured to control the pump assembly. A removable cover assembly is configured to releasably engage the enclosure assembly. A combination of the removable cover assembly and at least a portion of the enclosure assembly defines a power supply cavity configured to prevent a removable power supply assembly from being reverse-polarity electrically coupled to the processing logic.

Infusion pump system and method

Some embodiments of an infusion pump system may be configured to provide a desired level of resistance to liquid ingress to the pump casing while contemporaneously providing air transmissibility for equalization of air pressure differentials between the interior and exterior of the pump casing. Further, some embodiments can detect when moisture inside a casing of the infusion pump system is greater than or equal to a threshold level and can initiate one or more patient safety countermeasures.
