Fluid delivery device with sensor
A wearable drug delivery device for monitoring unintended over-delivery and/or under-delivery of a stored liquid drug are provided. An absolute pressure sensor can be positioned within the fluid path of the drug delivery device. The absolute pressor sensor can detect both ambient pressure (e.g., absolute or atmospheric pressure) and relative pressure (gage or pumping pressure). Based on the detected pressures, the effects of external ambient pressure on air with the fluid path can be determined during both intended drug delivery events and unintended drug delivery events. In turn, under-delivery and/or over-delivery of the liquid drug can be determined. Based on the severity of the determined under-delivery or over-delivery of the liquid drug, alarms indicating different urgencies can be provided to the user.
Pump assembly with a removable cover assembly
An infusion pump assembly includes an enclosure assembly. A reservoir assembly is positioned at least partially within the enclosure assembly and is configured to contain an infusible fluid. A pump assembly is positioned at least partially within the enclosure assembly and is configured to effectuate the dispensing of the infusible fluid contained within the reservoir assembly. Processing logic is positioned at least partially within the enclosure assembly and is configured to control the pump assembly. A removable cover assembly is configured to releasably engage the enclosure assembly. A combination of the removable cover assembly and at least a portion of the enclosure assembly defines a power supply cavity configured to prevent a removable power supply assembly from being reverse-polarity electrically coupled to the processing logic.

The pump includes a pumping portion alternately generating a positive pressure and a negative pressure; a first diaphragm which is provided on one side of the pumping portion and of which a shape is changed as the positive pressure and the negative pressure are alternately generated; a transport chamber which sucks and discharges a transport target fluid corresponding to the deformation of the first diaphragm; a second diaphragm which is provided on the other side of the pumping portion; a monitoring chamber which is provided on one side of the second diaphragm and of which a pressure changes corresponding to the deformation of the second diaphragm; and a pressure measuring portion measuring a pressure change of the monitoring chamber.

HYDRAULIC-PNEUMATIC PRESSURIZED CHAMBER DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
A wearable drug delivery device includes a housing, a needle assembly at least partially disposed in the housing, and a drive assembly at least partially disposed in the housing and coupled to the needle assembly. The needle assembly includes a needle or cannula and a sterile barrier disposed proximal to the needle or cannula in a first configuration where the sterile barrier is intact. The drive assembly includes a container that contains a medicament to be administered, a first plunger disposed in the container, and a drive mechanism that forces the first plunger to urge the medicament through the container. Upon engaging the drive mechanism, the needle or cannula and the sterile barrier move relative to each other from the first configuration to a second configuration where the needle or cannula breaks the sterile barrier, thereby allowing the medicament to be administered via the needle or cannula.

Patches may be offered as part of a product line, in which differently shaped patches are provided for attachment to different parts of the body, and different pressure sensitive adhesives provide different peel strength according to different use patterns of the end user.
