ALUMINIUM AND MAGNESIUM COATED PART ASSEMBLY
A part assembly (100), comprising: an aluminium part (101); a magnesium part (102), the magnesium part (102) coated in a first coating (104); a bond (103), the bond (103) securing the aluminium part (101) to the coated magnesium part (114); wherein the aluminium part (101), the coated magnesium part (114) and the bond (103) are subjected to an electrophoresis coating process to coat the aluminium part (101) in a second coating (105). By subjecting the aluminium part (101), the coated magnesium part (114) and the bond (103) to an electrophoresis coating process to coat the aluminium part (101) in a second coating (105) this may provide a simpler manufacturing process.

Slide member, bicycle component using slide member, and fishing tackle component using slide member
A slide member is provided with a base material, a plated slide layer and an intermediate plated layer. The plated slide layer contains a solid lubricant. The intermediate plated layer is disposed between the base material and the plated slide layer, the intermediate plated layer increasing cohesion of the base material and the plated slide layer. The plated slide layer has a content of the solid lubricant in a range from 30 to 70 vol %, inclusive.
ALUMINUM-BASED COATING FOR FLAT STEEL PRODUCTS FOR PRESS MOLD HARDENING COMPONENTS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
An aluminum-based coating of a flat steel product is applied in a hot-dipping method and comprises a mass percentage of silicon within a given range. The coating for a flat steel product, in particular for press mold hardening components, offers a shortened required minimum oven dwell time and a sufficiently large processing window when heating in an oven. This is achieved in that the surface of the coating has a degree of absorption for thermal radiation ranging between 0.35 and 0.95 prior to an annealing treatment, where the degree of absorption relates to an oven temperature ranging from 880 to 950° C. during the austenitizing annealing treatment. The invention additionally relates to an improved method for producing a flat steel product with an aluminum-based coating, to an inexpensive method for producing press-hardened components from such flat steel products, and to a press-hardened component made of such flat steel products.
Hot-stamped body
There is provided a hot-stamped body including: a steel base metal; and a metallic layer formed on a surface of the steel base metal, wherein the metallic layer includes: an interface layer that contains, in mass %, Al: 30.0 to 36.0%, has a thickness of 100 nm to 15 μm, and is located in an interface between the metallic layer and the steel base metal; and a principal layer that includes coexisting Zn phases and insular FeAl.sub.2 phases, is located on the interface layer, and has a thickness of 1 μm to 40 μm. This hot-stamped body is excellent in fatigue properties, corrosion resistance, and chipping resistance.
ALLOY COATED STEEL SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to an alloy-coated steel sheet comprising: a steel sheet, and Al—Mg—Si—Zn alloy layer positioned on the steel sheet, wherein the Al—Mg—Si—Zn alloy layer comprises a Mg—Zn alloy phase, and wherein the Mg—Zn alloy phase comprises MgZn.sub.2 and Mg.sub.2Zn.sub.11, and the Mg—Zn alloy phase further comprises at least one of MgZn, Mg.sub.21Zn.sub.25, Mg.sub.51Zn.sub.20 and Mg.sub.2Zn.sub.3.
METHOD FOR MAKING HIGH LUBRICITY ABRADABLE MATERIAL AND ABRADABLE COATING
An abradable powder composition is includes a metal component, a lubricant component, and a polymer component. A portion of the metal component is wrapped in the lubricant component to achieve high lubricity and abradability. The abradable powder composition can be used to form an abradable seal coating provided for use in a turbo machinery having a housing and a wheel having multiple blades. The housing houses the wheel which rotates therein. The seal coating is formed on the inner walls of housing adjacent where the wheel blades pass during their rotation. When the wheel is rotated such that the blades contact the seal coating, it is abraded to form a close fit gap. The abradable seal coating preferably does not produce significant wear of the blade tips or transfer abradable material significantly to the blade tips upon being abraded.
