POLYMERIC MATERIAL FOR AN INSULATED CONTAINER

A formulation includes a polymeric material, a nucleating agent, a blowing, and a surface active agent. The formulation can be used to form a container.

PREFORM EXTENDED FINISH FOR PROCESSING LIGHT WEIGHT ECOLOGICALLY BENEFICIAL BOTTLES
20200255179 · 2020-08-13 · ·

Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.

Bowmar Nose Button
20200217615 · 2020-07-09 ·

An archery aiming aid clips to a bow string and may be fixed at a position along the string so that an archer may draw the bow such that the bead contacts the archer's nose. The nose button provides an exact point of contact for the archer to place his or her face on the string in the exact same spot every time. The nose button improves accuracy in shooting because its extremely precise locatability on the archers face at full draw enables a consistent, repeatable anchor point, which is the face to string contact being established in exactly the same way every time.

STABILIZED POLYAMIDE
20200190262 · 2020-06-18 · ·

An article may include a polyamide composition comprising at least one modified polyamide produced by polymerizing polyamide precursors in a polymerization reactor to form a polyamide and adding, before, during, or at the end of polymerization, a polyhydric alcohol comprising at least three hydroxyl groups to the precursors and/or polyamide in the polymerization reactor.

Poly(ethylenefuranoate) copolymers and methods

The present invention relates to polyethylene furanoate (PEF) copolymers and methods for processing the same to provide PEF articles, as well as the articles so produced.

CROSSLINKED COATING COMPOSITIONS FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES SUCH AS FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONTAINERS

A method of forming a coating on a food or beverage container, which includes spraying a coating composition onto an interior surface of the food or beverage container, where the coating composition includes a latex copolymer and a metal drier or crosslinking agent. The latex copolymer is a reaction product of monomers that include (a) one or more styrene-mimicking monomers containing one or more cyclic groups and one or more ethylenically-unsaturated groups, at least a portion of such styrene-mimicking monomers being polycyclic monomers containing ring unsaturation, and (b) one or more other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. Preferably, the coating composition is substantially free of each of BPA, PVC, other halogenated monomers, and optionally styrene. The method may also include curing the sprayed coating composition, thereby providing the coating on the interior surface of the food or beverage container.

Carbon cord for reinforced rubber products and the products

A treated carbon fiber tensile cord for use in power transmission belts, hose, tires or other reinforced rubber products and the resulting product, which includes carbon fibers which are coated with a polymeric layer deposited and polymerized at atmospheric pressure in a plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition process. A suitable polymeric layer is compatible with the intended matrix which the cord will reinforce. For a rubber belt, the coating is compatible with the rubber composition of the belt body or an adhesion gum or adhesive such as RFL which surrounds the cord. For RFL/rubber systems and cast polyurethane elastomers, a suitable polymer is the APP reaction product of a vinyl carboxylic acid or an ester or amide thereof. Suitable carboxylic acids include acrylic acid and methacrylic acid. Various esters and amides of vinyl carboxylic acid are also suitable, such as 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, N-isobutoxymethyl acrylamide, and N-hydroxyethyl acrylamide.
