A self-adhesive multi-layer item comprising: 1) a dorsal support DO having a top face SI1 and a bottom face SI2, 2) at least one layer of silicone release coating RC applied to the top face SI1 of the dorsal support DO and which is prepared by irradiation of a curable silicone composition C not containing any solvent and comprising, as constituents: a) at least one functionalized organopolysiloxane A b) an effective amount of at least one type I photoinitiator P of the family of acylphosphine oxide derivatives of formula (III) 3) at least one adhesive PSA, preferably at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive PSA, applied on the layer of silicone release coating, 4) a frontal support FR applied on the adhesive PSA of the component 3), and 5) optionally at least one layer of silicone release coating RC applied on the bottom face SI2 of the dorsal support DO and which is prepared by application and irradiation of said curable silicone composition C, and on this same layer, there is at least one adhesive PSA, preferably at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive PSA.

A polymer sheet includes a polyurethane core. The polyurethane core has a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. The polymer sheet can have at least one functional layer overlying a major surface. The polymer sheet has a thickness t.sub.PS. The polyurethane core has a thickness t.sub.PC. In embodiments t.sub.PC can be at least 0.3 t.sub.PS. The polyurethane core can have at least one of the following property: (i) a Scratch Resistance Rating, as further described herein, of not greater than about 10 wt %, (ii) an elongation at break of at least 200%, (iii) a tensile strength at break of at least 0.3 MPa, (iv) a loss of tensile strength of not greater than about 30% when exposed to UV light according to standard SAE J1960 (Rev. August 2003).
The polymer sheet can be used for gaskets or bonding tapes.

A two-phase adhesive composition and selective debonding agent are described. The adhesive composition comprises a substantially continuous first phase comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive and a discontinuous second phase comprising crosslinked silicone gel microparticles. When applied, the selective debonding agent is absorbed by the gel microparticles. The gel microparticles change size or shape and facilitate debonding the adhesive from a substrate by decreasing the contact area between the adhesive and the substrate. Methods to selectively debond pressure sensitive adhesive compositions, methods of making the pressure sensitive adhesive compositions, articles that utilize the pressure sensitive adhesive composition, adhesive systems, and kits that include an article containing the pressure sensitive adhesive composition and the selective debonding agent, are also described.

The disclosure relates to articles comprising a substrate, a pressure sensitive adhesive, and a release layer, wherein the release layer comprises at least one silicone carbonate polymer.

A polymer sheet includes a polyurethane core. The polyurethane core has a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. The polymer sheet can have at least one functional layer overlying a major surface. The polymer sheet has a thickness t.sub.ps. The polyurethane core has a thickness t.sub.pc. In embodiments t.sub.pc can be at least 0.3 t.sub.ps. The polyurethane core can have at least one of the following property: (i) a Scratch Resistance Rating, as further described herein, of not greater than about 10 wt %, (ii) an elongation at break of at least 200%, (iii) a tensile strength at break of at least 0.3 MPa, (iv) a loss of tensile strength of not greater than about 30% when exposed to UV light according to standard SAE J1960 (Rev.
