JOINT STRUCTURE
20200189208 · 2020-06-18 ·

A joint structure includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a projection having a distal end and a base end. The distal end is thicker than the base end. The second member is made of a material different from a material of the first member and has a fitting groove into which the projection is to be inserted. The projection includes, on its surface, an inclined surface extending from the distal end to the base end and inclined with respect to a facing direction in which the first member and the second member face each other. The projection at least includes a plurality of fiber-containing layers that each have a sections in which a fiber extends along the inclined surface.

POLYMERIC SUBSTRATE AND A METHOD OF PROVIDING SAME

A polymeric substrate and a method of providing same includes providing a protection system of one or more layers on at least one first surface of the polymeric substrate, coating a spectrally controlling system on a surface of the protection system to provide an external surface, the spectrally controlling system comprising at least a light absorbing or a light reflecting layer, partially removing the spectrally controlling system from the external surface until reaching the at least one first surface of the protection system creating in the spectrally controlling system an area free of the light absorbing or light reflecting layer of the spectrally controlling system, and covering the area by depositing at least one or more substances in droplets.

Thermal insulators having cold side flap seals
10597137 · 2020-03-24 · ·

Thermal insulators having cold side flap seals are described. An example thermal insulator includes a first thermal blanket and a second thermal blanket to be coupled to the first thermal blanket. The first thermal blanket includes a first insulation section, a flap, and a second insulation section. The flap extends laterally from the first insulation section and has a first portion laterally adjacent the first insulation section and a second portion laterally adjacent the first portion. The second insulation section is located on the first portion. The second thermal blanket includes a third insulation section, a fourth insulation section, and a seal. The fourth insulation section has a third portion laterally adjacent the third insulation section and a fourth portion laterally adjacent the third portion. The seal is to be compressed between the third portion and the second portion when the second thermal blanket is coupled to the first thermal blanket.

Gluelam structural member and a method of producing such a gluelam structural member
10480190 · 2019-11-19 · ·

The present disclosure provides a structural member (10), such as a beam, a stud or a joist, presenting a predetermined bending direction (B). The structural member comprises a plurality of glued-together wood lamellae (20a, 20b), each having a lamella cross section which is parallel with a cross section of the structural member (10) and a longitudinal direction which is parallel with a longitudinal direction of the structural member and with a principal grain direction of the wood lamellae (20a, 20b). In the structural member, the lamellae (20a, 20b) are formed as radial sections of a log and present cross sections which are triangular or trapezoidal and present a respective base surface (bs1) that is formed at a radially outer part of the log. The lamellae (20a, 20b) are arranged as at least one layer in which base surfaces (bs1) of a pair of immediately adjacent lamellae (20a, 20b) face opposite directions. The base surfaces (bs1) are perpendicular to the bending direction (B).

COVER FOR FLEXIBLE DISPLAY PANEL, FLEXIBLE DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20190348629 · 2019-11-14 ·

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a cover for a flexible display panel, including an organic film including a recessed portion, a reinforcing layer disposed in the recessed portion, and a first and second rigid structure adjacent to each other disposed on the organic film, the first rigid structure includes a first joint portion, and the second rigid structure includes a second joint portion, the first joint portion and the second joint portion being configured to be separated from each other when the reinforcing layer is bent, and to be joined to form a one-piece structure when the reinforcing layer is not bent. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, by providing on the organic film a reinforcing layer and rigid structures that can be joined and separated, the cover may exhibit enhanced surface hardness, impact resistance and user's feel while the bending of the cover can be realized.

Multi-shot moulding part structure

A multi-shot moulding part structure includes a first structural part, an ink decoration layer, and a second structural part. The first structural part has a first area surface, a second area surface, and a joining surface located on the second area surface. The joining surface is non-parallel to the second area surface. The ink decoration layer is spread on the first area surface and the second area surface, but not on the joining surface. The second structural part is combined with the first structural part and covers the second area surface. The second structural part touches the joining surface. By the second structural part touching the joining surface of the first structural part that is not coated with the ink decoration layer, the structural bonding strength between the first structural part and the second structural part is enhanced.
